Late on February 27, Israeli attack helicopters carried out a series of strike on military positions in the southern Syrian governorate of al-Quneitra.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), three service members of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) were “lightly injured” as a result of the Israeli strikes. The targeted positions were located near the towns of Al-Qahtaniyah and al-Hurriyah as well as in the vicinity of al-Quneitra city.
In the morning, an Israeli drone strike on the Druze town of Hader in al-Quneitra claimed the life of a Syrian civilian, Imad Tawil.
Israeli sources claimed that Tawil was working for Lebanon’s Hezbollah. However, the available information suggests that he was just a civilian.
The new wave of Israeli strikes may have targeted observation posts overlooking the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. Last year, several Israeli airstrikes targeted such positions in Syria’s southern region.

The only problem with being forceful is it hasn’t worked for over 70 years, banging your head against a brick wall doesn’t work, all you do is give yourself a massive headache, believe it or not, there would be a compromise that all parties could come to if they all wanted to, one that might not leave you all happy, but at the very least not make any of you miserable, it just needs reasonable people in power to achieve that sort of outcome. You know Israel could set an example for all the rest to follow, try a different way of doing things, shock your enemies by offering them an olive branch even when they’re trying to slap you, give a little more than you take in some deals, give back some territory without a demand to do so, a real gift for free, and most important of all, don’t forget your enemies are still people with rights. My biggest problem with the Israeli government is it’s treatment of the Palestinian people, some of the things I see on tv make my blood boil, children being beaten for throwing stones, arms and legs broken, even shot, peoples homes destroyed by aircraft as a punishment for members of their families crimes, very often those strikes do a lot of harm to the houses next door, mmm, don’t get me wrong I understand justifiable measures to protect the Israeli people, but way too often they go way too far. I know Iran’s ambitions aren’t helping the situation but they also have the right to do what they are, every country has a right to build weapons for defensive purposes, to use as a deterrent, or even for offensive use if justifiable. Though I do have to admit I’m pretty upset that Iran doesn’t mind using Syria for it’s own purposes/agenda which isn’t in line with Syria’s or Russia’s interests, Russia should be doing more to curtail their activities in Syria, not just to avoid continuing confrontations with Israel, but to also help end the sectarian hostilities taking a hold in Deir ez Zor, Iran’s become more of a burden for Syria than it is a help now, its time they were shown the door, politely of course.

There are 12 big Druze enclaves in Syria, and 10 of the biggest ones have fully supported Assad from the very start of the war, only 2 of them sided with the rebels, and yet the area Israel just bombed is one of those groups territories, one of the anti Assad groups, but they’re one of the only two groups of Druze that would be completely anti Hezbollah, all the other groups are fighting on the same side as Hezbollah, so it makes no sense to me. Israel continued supporting the 2 anti Assad Druze militias during the SAA’s offensive in Darra and Quneitra, despite the fact they kept urging them to stop fighting and reconcile with Assad, but they did stop giving them arms and equipment when they refused to stop attacking Assad’s forces, but then also stupidly saved them and the White Helmets when the SAA encircled and trapped them at the Jordanian border. Very strange indeed.

But if the report is correct, regardless of which side the local Druze there support, the Israel’s went after SAA and those they had intel were supporting Hezbollah there. Israel usually has really good intel on things like that especially close to their border and in Druze areas by way of their Druze. The rest makes sense if Israel’s preference is a stalemated conflict in Syria which they figure will keep their enemies at each other, draining each other, and way less able to go at Israel. Bottom line is that if Israel wanted Assad out, he and his would be long dead.
Your government has been saying Assad can stay in power for nearly 2 years now, it’s Erdogan they want removed from power, and they also want him and his proxy forces to get out of Syria too, and the only reason they bomb Assad is to get to Iran, if Assad suddenly kicked the Iranians out of Syria, Israel would stop bombing altogether.
