On November 21, Lebanese national TV Al-Mayadeen reported that two of its employees were killed in an Israeli attack in the south of the country. Correspondent Farah Omar and cameraman Rabih Maamari and one more Lebanese citizen fell victims of Israeli strikes.
Lebanon’s state-run national news agency also reported: “We mourn our colleagues, reporter Farah Omar and photographer Rabih Al-Maamari, who were just killed in an Israeli bombardment in southern Lebanon.”
The airstrike targeted the the village of Tayr Harfa, which is located near the blue line drawn by the UN and marks the border between Israel and Lebanon.

On Monday, the International Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) reported that 42 journalists have been killed in the conflict zone since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas. This is the deadliest month for media workers since records began in 1992. All of them died as a result of attacks by of “the only democracy in the Middle East.”
Unfortunately, these are not all civilian casualties in Lebanon over the past day. According to local reports, an 80-year-old woman, La’ika Serhan was killed and her grandchildren were wounded in an Israeli attack on their house in Kfarkila in southern Lebanon.
Another Israeli attack took place in the Sha’itieh area in southern Lebanon. According to preliminary reports, an Israeli UAV hit a civilian car, killing at least 4 people.
The Israeli military does not acknowledge attacks on civilians. In their turn, Hezbollah fighters issued a statement stating that they had attacked a group of Israeli soldiers in an initial response to the murder of civilians in Lebanon. They confirm killing and injuring the enemy. Any details are yet to be provided.
