Israeli Minister Threatens Syria Over Violating 1974 Agreement

FILE IMAGE: Israeli battle tank

On July 5, Israel’s Minister of Public Security, Gilad Erdan, warned the Damascus government and Russia that Israel will not tolerate the presence of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the demilitarized zone along the occupied Golan Heights.

“We must verify and do everything to clarify, vis-a-vis the Russians, the Assad government, that we will not accept any armed presence by the Assad regime in the areas which are meant to be demilitarized,” the Reuters agency quoted Erdan as saying during an interview with the Israeli news outlet Ynet.

The Israeli cabinet minister went on and threatened that Israel will conduct airstrikes on the SAA if it tries to enter the demilitarized zone, which was established in 1974 as a result of a Syrian-Israel ceasefire agreement.

“Here, too, if there is a violation, and certainly in the southern Syrian region which is close to the citizens of the State of Israel, and a bringing of weaponry that should not be there, Israel will take action,” Erdan warned.

Last week, the Israel military deployed additional armored and artillery forces, including battle tanks, in the Golan Heights. Furthermore, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called twice for the preservation of the 1974 agreement.

The Israeli PM is expected to discuss the issues of the demilitarized zone with his Russian counterpart Vladimr Putin during his upcoming visit to Moscow on July 11. This will be Netanyahu’s third visit to the Russian capital since the beginning of this year.

Golan Heights is OCCUPIED SYRIAN TERRITORY.Can someone explain this fact to this satanic zionist SCUMBAG:??

gustavo

Israel will never accept any explanation, and zero understanding but Torah-Talmud, and nobody has the reason but jews-zionists.

William Carrington

A tunnel under the Golan is the best idea.

Gregory Casey

If the Israelis are stupid enough to put planes in the sky with a view to bombing Syrian Soldiers clearing Jihadists from the Border Zone they are even more stupid than I had imagined.

Sven Schmidt

I hope the SAA is keep marching west and take it back!

gustavo

NOt way, that would be an open war with Israel that Syria right now can not afforded since a war with Israel is a war with USA, and Russia will not support and help Syria with this type of war.

Rüdiger Preiss

Would it? The Syrian Government is responsible to keep the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, which clearly has been violated by the terrorists in the DMZ as they are armed with heavy weapons and vastly exceed the number of military personnel allowed there. It also has been violated by the fact that Israel has allowed terrorists to cross over without it being arranged with Damascus via the ICRC. Israel can’t have it both ways!

Sinbad2

Yes, what you say is true, but when has the truth ever influenced the US or Israel. Master race types create their own truths.

Joe Kerr

The U.S. is drowning in war-induced debt and can’t afford another one, hence Trump’s attempt to bludgeon China via trade.

Tudor Miron

I don’t think that right now it’s a very good idea. SAA should first deal with Idlib, than SDF. Before that starting an open war with Israel/US would not serve them well. Syria should wait (not too long mind you) till US is weakened more and would not be in position to fight for Israel.

AlexanderAmproz

Anyways, Israeli Never Respected any Laws already before 1948 !

Tit for tat is the Universal Law !

Israeli should go to live in the US where Politicians are already theirs !

89% of our Senators and Congress hold dual citizenship citizenship with Israel http://www.investmentwatchblog.COM/89-of-our-senators-and-congress-hold-dual-citizenship-citizenship-with-israel/

Sinbad2

Already more Jews live in the US than Israel, and even have some autonomy in the US. Did you know that in New York there is a separate Jewish police force, that has its own laws?

AlexanderAmproz

When in New-York I feel to be in Khazarstan

John Whitehot

let’s see if this gives jihadists the pretext to enter the dmz and then israel strikes the syrian army.

clowns.

Joe

Don’t joke . Syrian door to door battle is no no for the Israeli army. They will be destroyed real fast.

They can only attack from the air where there and no air defences.

That’s why Israel is so panicky to have Hez or Iran at the border.

Modern infantry can negate air power

Hisham Saber

your right, the IDF soy-boys would be rolled over in short order. The axis of resistance only need not conglomerate in big groups, but fight like Hezbollah did in 2006, and have very highly mobile ATGM teams roaming around, supported by shock troops militias, like the Tigers, NDF, Hezbollah, 14 thousand Afghan volunteers, the Iraqi PMU’S and auxiliaries, and it will be fatal for the Zionist outpost.

Hezbollah used a military tactic that the Soviets used effectively during Stalingrad and later. Its called ‘ hugging your enemy ‘ , by which you get right up close and personal with the IDF as to render airstrikes by the Israeli’s, U.S., French and British air forces ineffective.

All the axis of resistance needs to do is strike lightning fast, flank, outmaneuver, and we all know the axis of resistance has been distilled down through 7 grueling years of war of attrition in the desert, rural and urban warfare, experience the IDF, U.S. France and Britain don’t have, and besides, they have a miniscule force in the area, and even if they went all in, to ‘ save ‘ Israel, they would be landing their armies in hostile territory, bombarded around the clock by missile., ballistic missile, artillery and of course, the weapon that sends chills down NATO soldiers spines, IED’s.

Russia, thank you, you have done an excellent job helping Syria and Hezbollah destroy ISIS -AL Nusra, you got a air base, a naval base out of the deal, you eliminated scores of future terrorists that would have been sent by the CIA / Mossad/ Mi6 to the Caucusus, now step aside, don’t interfere, or negotiatre for Syria, Hezbollah nor Iran. Let the forces of the axis of resistance do what needs to have been done a long time ago, reclaim the Golan, and quite possibly push Israel back to its pre-67 borders, the ones internationally recognized. Putin is sticking his nose trying to save Israel. This needs to stop. We have Israel right where we want her, at her weakest. The famous ‘ Deal of the Century ‘ is being written by Tehran, Damascus and Beirut, not Washington and Tel Aviv. The Israeli’s and the Americans know that if the Saa, and everyone else attacked, they would be up shit creek.

John Whitehot

you got it wrong.

i said:

jihadist enter dmz.

israel says SAA entered dmz

isreal strikes SAA from within its borders, like it does all the times.

Sinbad2

You know, if the Syrians were sneaky, they would form a terrorist group, and call themselves ISIS. The ISIS terrorists, would then attack Israel. Can you imagine the western media trying to spin that the new ISIS is different to the old ISIS?

Sometimes when you are dealing with animals, you have to get down to their level.

John Whitehot

one can do all the ifs and buts he wants, but:

it’s not Syria that has based it’s entire foreign policy on false flag attacks.

that’s the US/UK/Israel way.

“Sometimes when you are dealing with animals, you have to get down to their level”

Syria is proving quite the opposite. Those that don’t behave like animals are winning decisively.

I’d also add, that animals don’t kill several thousands of their own to justify waging war all over the world. I’d rather have two or three cats and dogs at my doorstep than Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz and John McCain.

as

Thing is they don’t have to. They fly the Syrian flags and attack US force in Syria no matter what excuse US has their retaliation put them in the wrong sides of the history. Ejecting the US invaders isn’t going to cut it with deception. It’s through force they’d listen.

Bobby Twoshoes

Israel says respect the UN, Lol :)

Rodger

They bomb the stuffing out of Syria yet point to the 1974 agreement….. :’)

Lupus

The land thieves are threatning the rightful owners. ??

You can call me Al

3 x Father of all bombs, will do the trick.

Same as Saudi Arabia.

Lupus

That would be so beautifull!

Val Shadowhawk

Yes! The ‘israelis’ are in no position to make such threats. They will eventually face a forced removal from all Palestine and be made to pay reparations for the seventy plus years of damages.

kirby1

It’s not a threat just some friendly advice, ignore at your own peril.

leon mc pilibin

Their satanic advice is not wanted, but they are messing with the wrong people this time,,,for starters they have weapons, unlike the unarmed Palestinian civilians.

kirby1

NBC NEWS:

Salah Bardawil, a senior Hamas official, told Palestinian news outlet Baladna TV that 50 out of the 60 who died on Monday were members of his organization, while the rest were civilians. Hamas won elections in 2006 and has run Gaza since the end of a violent power struggle the following year.

Israel has long argued that Hamas has used the protests, which began on March 30, as cover to for terrorist attacks or attempts to infiltrate its border.

The U.S. listed the head Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, as a specially designated global terrorist. Hamas has been responsible for an estimated 17 American lives killed in terrorist attacks.

Enough said!!!

Concrete Mike

Lol you listeb to cbc too much..

Miss harper any? I dont

Stop advocating for israel, they are clearly in the wrong here.

Neurasth

What else can you expect from a fucking jewish canadian. Israel and its barbaric army has no future in this world and it will crumble, it is doomed by its own despicability. Keep paying your taxes while you can you fat useless slave.

RichardD

Nobody is buying your lies moron, trying to justify shooting thousands of unarmed demonstrators. 99% of whom have nothing to do with Hamas.

Joe Kerr

They look like the dancing Israelis. Any updates on Larry Silverstein?

Lena Jones

Awww shut your hasbara pie-hole your little coward! Here’s YOUR warming: touch Syria, Lebanon, Iraq or Iran like that and tel aviv is a heap of smoking rubble – it’s in the cross-hairs 24/7 and there ain’t NOTHING you can do about it lol!

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Remove that picture your in violation of copyright law promoting hate and threaening is not fair use.

Joe Kerr

Have you applied for residency in Mossad’s new tent city in Patagonia yet? Be quick, it’s selling fast.

Rob

There was no agreement with Palestine or Syria to take it. There was just one demand from beginning to leave Palestine and Syria.

John Mason

Just out of interest Joe but do the Jews eat pork?

Joe

Nobody cares about what Istael says nowadays .if Israel attacks then Hez and Iranian forces would be at Golan Heights ….. Tell them that and Israel will shiver

John Mason

Interesting times ahead, maybe the Syrians will attempt to get the Golan Heights back.

gustavo

Not way, Golan Heights will be later on when Syria become stronger and better air protection.

Sinbad2

The US economy and dollar will collapse soon, when that happens the European Jews that inhabit Palestine will either have to leave, or get a job, I’m betting they will leave.

Rob

Today again the child butcher Netanyahu hit SAA positions near Khan Arnabah in Quneitra with multiple rockets in support of their budy terrorists.

John Mason

I believe that the Syrians think likewise but the difference is that the Golan heights belong to Syria and the Jews are only temporary occupants. What a despicable race the Jews are from their betrayal to Moses, God and then actively involved in the death of Jesus, no wonder they are a cursed nation.

Lena Jones

I agree with what you say except that jews are actually NOT a race – they are mere followers of an ancient, anti-gentile desert cult. There are some 220 million semites in the world and they are mostly muslim, followed by christian, followed lastly by a miniscule few jews. Most jews today (totaling some 15 million jews worldwide) are convert khazarian inbreds. It explains their klepto psychosis and their disdain and hatred of MOST of humanity.

John Mason

Thanks Lena, I was being polite by calling the Jews a ‘race’ but I managed to say it rather well that they are rather insignificant.

Rüdiger Preiss

LMFAO as if Israel gave a monkey about this agreement. They fly over the CFL and attack Syria on a daily basis! All they want is keep a home for their head chopping mercenaries.

RichardD

Israel has been supplying the terrorists for years across the DMZ in violation of the disengagement agreement.

potcracker2588

LOL satanic jews trying to save the retreating area of the terrorists

RichardD

The problem that the baby rapers have is that the disengagement agreement is null and void because they’ve been in habitual breach of it for many years:

Thank you thank you thank you for posting the copy of the original document.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Israel has been in violation of said agreement and to compound their hypocrisy they openly have attacked violating in on a continuous basis they should be removed from the area per said agreement.

Attrition47

Fuck off you zionazi bastards.

Israel has the strongest legal claim to the Golan Heights. Its political claim is stronger still. Syria used a heavily fortified Golan as a platform to fire at Israeli villages below. Damascus also permitted the Palestinian Liberation Organization to use the Golan as a staging ground for terrorism. In the immediate aftermath of the Six Day War, Israel offered to negotiate the status of all the territories it had seized—which included the West Bank from Jordan and the Gaza Strip and Sinai Peninsula from Egypt. Syria, along with Israel’s other Arab neighbors, emphatically rejected the offer.

It addition to approximately 20,000 Jewish Israelis, the Golan is home to about 20,000 Druze, who speak Arabic and practice their own distinctive religion. The Golan Druze reside in four towns in the northernmost part of the territory. Since the Syrian civil war, they increasingly view life in Israel as preferable to the alternatives. Today it is rare to see a picture of Assad in a Golan Druze restaurant or store.

RichardD

“Israel has the strongest legal claim to the Golan Heights.”

Only a lying Jew pedophile rape cultist would spew these lies.

No government on the planet agrees with this absurdity. Even the US government is against it:

– US rejects proposal for recognition of Israel’s sovereignty over Golan Heights –

https://www.i24news.tv/en/news/international/175687-180526-us-rejects-proposal-for-recognition-of-israel-s-sovereignty-over-golan-heights

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

They have no legal claim at all hundreds of resolutions say otherwise , besides Druze are Syrians and Palestinians originally Transjordanians you do know that ,or are you some illiterate backwater hick in Canada from New Brunswick tons of bigots kissing their cousins there.

if you give the little finger they will take the whole hand

its time the treacherous zionist jew faces his well deserved end

alejoeisabel

The 1974 Demilitarized Agreement has been violated and ignored by Israel when IDF fighter planes fly over from the Israeli occupied Syrian Golan Heights. Israel is, again, trying to get the Americans to die for Israeli theft, a pretty Zionist trick IMHO.

RichardD

The Jew pedophile rape criminal organization is the only cult on the planet that I’m aware of that commits felony crime every day and gets away with it. While all non cult members are prosecuted for the same felony.

John

Can’t get those guys away from the microphone.

Sinbad2

So it’s OK for Israel to have tanks in the demilitarized zone, but not Syria? It’s no wonder Jews have a bad name.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

What do you expect of Klepto-Fascists!

Parisa Zoorgoo

the discussion should be about how to take 10 to 20 years to skin cheney and nutface alive while internationally broadcasting it on tv as a feel good moment of justice and Peace

Syria is one of Israel’s principal immediate military threats. Syria’s primary military objective following Israel’s independence in 1948 had been the destruction of the Jewish State, however the IDF has defeated the Syrian army in every major military engagement since. Today, rather than use direct confrontations, Syria funds and arms terrorist organizations (primarily Hamas and Hezbollah) as proxies to attack Israel. Meanwhile, the Syrian regime of Bashar Assad continues to develop ballistic missile systems and weapons of mass destruction.

Since 2008, Syria has spent more than $3 billion on weapons procurement and development, up from less than $100 million in 2002. Syria also reportedly received $1 billion from Iran in late 2007 to buy surface-to-surface missiles, rockets, anti-tank missiles and anti-aircraft systems. “Iran and Syria share the same viewpoint regarding regional issues and efforts will be made to strengthen our shared interests and bilateral relations,” said Hassan Turkmani, Syrian Defense Minister, who was dispatched to Tehran after Iranian officials condemned the resumption of negotiations with Israel in 2008.

Despite the threat of aggression from the Syrian side of the border, Israel has been engaged in humanitarian efforts to assist the Syrian people. The Israeli military initiated Operation Good Neighbor to provide food, equipment and medical supplies to 250,000 Syrians. In addition, since the war began, more than 4,000 Syrians, including 1,000 children, have received medical treatment free of charge in Israel. Israel has also opened up a maternity hospital on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights.

The fighting in June 2018 has led to 45,000 refugees fleeing regime forces. Some have begun to congregate near the border with Israel along the Golan Heights. The IDF said it would not allow Syrians to enter Israel, but would continue to provide them humanitarian assistance, including tents, food, clothing, medical equipment and medicine.

kirby1

Syria harbors in Damascus representatives of ten Palestinian terrorist organizations including Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine all of which are opposed to advances in the peace process between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. These groups have launched terrible attacks against innocent Israeli citizens, which have resulted in hundreds of deaths. Syria also supports the Iranian-funded Hezbollah.

For more than 30 years, Lebanon was essentially controlled by Syria. With Syrian acquiescence, Lebanon became the home to a number of the most radical and violent Islamic organizations. Hezbollah (Party of God), in particular, has been used by the Syrians as a proxy to fight Israel.

On October 19, 2004, the UN Security Council released a demand that Syria should abide by a resolution calling on Damascus to withdraw its 14,000 troops from Lebanon, dismantle the Hezbollah organization and respect Lebanon’s independence. Buoyed by the UN intervention, the opposition in Lebanon grew more vocal demanding an end to Syrian hegemony. After former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri was assassinated on February 14, 2005, the pressure on Syria intensified and its troops were finally withdrawn in April.

Nevertheless, Syria continues to exercise great influence in Lebanon. Syria and its allies are believed responsible for a series of assassinations to undermine Lebanese democracy that have eliminated anti-Syrian members of the Lebanese parliament, the most recent attack coming in September 2007. Syria supplied Hezbollah with weapons used in the war fought with Israel in July 2006 and has been resupplying the organization in defiance of the UN since the war ended. Those rockets used in 2006 had ranges of 20 to 60 miles. In April 2010, the U.S. and Israel accused Syria of delivering shipments of long-range Scud missiles to Hezbollah in Lebanon. The Scuds have a range of more than 435 miles – placing Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Israel’s nuclear installations at risk. jewishvirtuallibrary
