Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on September 12 that Israel may have no choice but to launch a large-scale military operation in Gaza to overthrow the Hamas Movement.
“It looks like there will be no other choice but to embark on a wide scale campaign in Gaza,” Netanyahu said in an interview with Kan Reshet Bet Radio, according to the Jerusalem Post, “There probably won’t be a choice but to topple the Hamas regime. Hamas doesn’t exert its sovereignty in the Strip and doesn’t prevent attacks.”
Netanyahu justified his warning by claiming that Hamas is not preventing rocket attacks from Gaza anymore.
“We have a situation in which a terror group that launches rockets has taken over, and doesn’t rein in rogue factions even when it wants to,” the Israeli PM added.
Earlier this week, Netanyahu was evacuated from a campaign event he was holding in the southern city of Ashdod as a result of a rocket attack from Gaza. Hamas denied responsibility for the attack, back then.
Netanyahu has been avoided any large-scale military confrontation with Hamas since last May. The Israeli PM warning today could be a political maneuver to gain more public support ahead of the upcoming elections.
how Palestinians can control the Mossad-Shin Bet agents who fire rockets from the Gaza strip?
Israel is trying to re-emulate US actions in the Middle East, saying, “We need to liberate Gaza from their elected government.” Meanwhile Israel gets to hide behind the Iron Dome and faces no real threats on the ground.
This man is “little Anti-Christ.”
“Israel may have no choice” be careful what you wish for you POS. it may be the invitation to the dance.
Israeli people are like Americans, brainwashed , ignorant and idiotized by their OWN government and their self proclaimed greatness and superiority complex. Of course decent Israelis [not many] and decent smart Americans [not many] do exist, but again their bulk of population are total morons or total ignorants.
Nobody is debating that the Syrian government coalition ground forces out gun the Kurds and NATO ground forces. Assuming that they can advance with air cover and without getting hit by US air strikes of the type that have occurred throughout the war.
The Russians aren’t willing to provide air cover for an advance on SDF held territory at this time, and the Syrian air force is no match for NATO on it’s own. NATO ground supplies and air cover supporting the SDF is unlikely to come from Turkey. That leaves only Iraq allowing NATO, primarily US, supplies and air support for the SDF.
If Syrian government coalition ground forces could advance with air cover and without getting hit with air strikes to shut down the SDF partition project. They would have done it already.
The Syrian government coalition’s air power deficit can be addressed in one or two ways. By putting the equipment in place to expand the no fly zone over SDF held areas, and or getting Iraq to stop supporting the partition project by allowing NATO to use it’s land and airspace in support of the partition project.
a couple of dozens of long range missiles (hopefully nuke-tipped) from the caspian sea with heartfelt greetings from Iran would do the trick and scatter the squatters all over the place. no one needs israel no one needs the fifth column jews embedded around the world and by providing support to the squatters are complicit in the crimes against humanity the squatters are guilty of. netanyahu, liebermann et al for the nearest lampposts! now!
