Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu have held a phone talk discussing the developments in southern Syria, the Israeli Defense Ministry said on July 1 in a statement.
“Lieberman and Shoigu have discussed the situation in Syria, in particular, the developments in the south of the country, as well as Iran’s attempts to establish a foothold on the Syrian territory,” the defense ministry said.
Lieberman once again stressed that the military presence of Iran and Hezbollah in Syria is unacceptable and pledged to “take immediate action” in the event of such attempts.
Meanwhile, Syrian government forces have continued their military operation against militants in southern Syria. The Syrian Army and its allies have made significant gains and have put militants into almost no-win situation. This advance worries the Israeli leadership because it will lead to the elimination of the militant-held area used by Israel as a buffer zone near the occupied Golan Heights.

Thought we were discussing Syria. What has Ukraine got to do with it? Until the US and coalition are thrown out of Syria/Iraq the war is not over, that is logical. In regards to Ukraine you have an illegal government being protected by the West/US/NATO and violating numerous International Laws, Russia is assisting the break away districts but not in the same manner as Crimea. Russia will sit on the side lines in Syria and Ukraine and unless attacked will not interfere.

Not much to discuss really. A simple statement like, if you bomb Syrian troops one more time we’ll provide them with S-400s, forget S-300s.. That’s a message sure to be understood by the terrorist supporting, thieving and murdering state of Israel.

Funny how all of the SAA is Tiger forces you can’t be that simple to believe they re everywhere but it sounds easier when you hear it in the media. On the west side you have Abu Fassel Brigade Elite fighting unit of the SRG and other Elite units which fought in Douma from the SRG in the East you have Tiger forces and Ali Taha regiment. Just see how hard it would be to remember just a few of them. So many fighting Elite troops in North and South. So please stop feeding into the tiger forces theory you have Colonel-General Suhliel Hassan coordinating with other Generals so all under his command would thus be Tiger Forces as he is the Tiger by ferocity.
Now on the S- series that can be given to Syria would surprise most as they are receiving more Buk and Pantsirs along with more newer T-90 tanks etc. What has been a nice windfall is all these US arms they are capturing you can now say the US is now supplying the SAA with arms,lol.
If Russia decides to give them it might happen considering the have a defense minister in Russia. So we will see as mostly anything Israel says in nowhere near the truth in the long run anyways, why Russia always lets them hang themselves out to dry.
It’s good that we have a lot of syrian forces saying that they are like or even better than the Tiger forces. The better it’s to rename the syrian arab army to Syrian Tiger Army. But that is another war.
I don’t think Russia is willing to use the S400 until the S500 is fully operational and deployed till then the West/US can keep guessing on the S400 capabilities.

Dear South Front: I saw something in Haaretz that argued that the return of the Assad regime in this area might end the ceaseless small scale war that proves a constant headache. Understand that overall the success or failure of the Daraa offensive is only the difference between many small wars and a return to the pre-war permanent armistice. This indifference is what allows Israel to be “non-involved” as they say, but I would express it that they are neutral in the war between pro and anti Assad factions.
I just wonder…. is Israel asking Russia permission to attack Syria without intervention of Russia ? Maybe, with jews-talmud mentality everything is possible.
