An soldier of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) was reportedly killed on July 11 when several suicide drones launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon struck a military site near the northern Israeli settlement of Kabri.
In a statement, Hezbollah said that it launched a “squardon” of suicide drones at a newly-established headquarters of the 146th Division’s Artillery Battalion near Kabri in response to recent Israeli strikes on its heartland, southern Lebanon, as well as in support to the Palestinian people and resistance in the Gaza Strp.
Hebrew media reported that a soldier was killed and two others were wounded as a result of the attack. The IDF confirmed that several drones impacted Kbari. It also said that other drones were intercepted over the Upper Galilee region. However, it has not yet acknowledged the losses.

In addition to the drone attack, Hezbollah said in three separate statements that its fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli troops in the border site of Hanita with rockets and struck surveillance equipment of the IDF in the border sites of Hadib Yaren and al-Malikyah with “suitable weapons”.
The IDF responded to these attacks with a series of strikes that hit targets of Hezbollah in the southern Lebanese towns of Yarine, Ramyeh, Jebbayn and Tayr Harfa. No casualties were reported by Lebanese media, however.
The clashes on the Lebanese-Israeli border first broke out after the start of the war in Gaza last October, with Hezbollah and its allies carrying out attacks in support of the Strip.
So far, the border clashes have resulted in 12 civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of at least 16 IDF soldiers and reservists. On the Lebanese side, more than 500 people have been killed, including 347 fighters of Hezbollah and at least 90 civilians.
