Israel’s Iron Dome Intercepts Rocket Launched From Gaza (Video)

File image.

Late on February 11, at least one rocket was launched by Palestinian fighters from the Gaza Strip at a nearby Israeli settlements.

Incoming rocket sirens sounded in the southern settlements of Kibbutz Nahal Oz. From its side, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said in a brief statement that the rocket was successfully intercepted by the Iron Dome system. Footage showing the interception were released by Israeli media.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or material losses following the rocket attack. None of Gaza’s armed factions has claimed responsibility for the attack, so far.

Just a day earlier, three Israelis were killed in a ramming attack in Eastern Jerusalem. National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir instructed police to prepare for a major operation in the city. The rocket attack was likely a response to Ben Gvir’s threat.

Tensions has been rising in Gaza. This was the second such attack this month. On February 1, Palestinian fighters fired a salvo of rockets apparently in response to a crackdown by the Israel Prison Service against Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails. Back then, the IDF responded by hitting several targets in the strip.

The IDF will likely retaliate to the new rocket attack within a few hours. Usually, Israel holds the Hamas Movement, the de-facto ruler of Gaza, responsible for any attack originating from the strip.

one firecracker and the shousenites are in panic mode, everyone to the shelters. Send them night and day till there nerves crack. And when they are used to, and dont run anymore, send 200 missils. The paperdome is very expensive, the yankee cattle who pays for it will be pleased.

Since the last confrontation, it was observed just how susceptible the Israelis are to continued attack. Even as they lie about the efficiency of their systems, it would actually make no difference if they were able to hit a target every time. After the US got Egypt to broker a cease-fire, Israel had the US send immediately replacement missiles for the ID, as they expended nearly their entire stockpile. This was a wonderful revelation to those who oppose the occupation. Now, it is seen that the US has extremely low production rates and their stockpiles are low as well. Ukr has sucked the west dry of missile/ammo stockpiles and this will invariably affect Israeli security. Wonder why Israel won’t send defense systems to Ukr? They don’t have them to send. At the same time, Iran and Russia have massive stockpiles and the ability to produce many more in a short time. This does not bode well for the Nazis in the EU and Israel.
