Jordan To Hold Talks With Russia This Week Over Situation At Syrian-Jordanian Border

AFP/ File Photo

This week, Jordan will hold talks with Russia over a ceasefire in southwestern Syria and improving the humanitarian situation there, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said on July 2.

On July 3, Safadi will travel to Moscow to meet his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.

The talks will be held amid an offensive of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) against militants in the southern province of Daraa, that borders Jordan.

The SAA has already liberated a high number of villages. However, some radical armed groups, first of all Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra), still hopes that some foreign intervention will save them from the defeat.

In June, Jordan deployed additional forces along the border with Syria in a move aimed at preventing members of militant groups operating in the nearby country from entering Jordan.

Hahah! Well done. Jordan loved and helped these bastards since 2011 to help the us. Now that hese headchoppers are on the losing side ,Jordan no longer likes them. Of course not! The Jordanian dwarf is now scared he will have crazy headchoppers running around his country trying to topple him! Haha !

Merijn

The SAA is a Bulldozer at the moment… Crushing any opposition on its path.. so this is basically Jordan’s Problem…

Newsflash: If your strategy for winning revolves around some foreign deus ex machina intervention THEN YOU LOST THE WAR!!!! This is not a war winning strategy. You're not in a position to dictate terms other then will I get a green bus ride or not?

Granted, Assad was also saved by foreign intervention in the shape of Russia and Iran, but he still at least controlled enough territory of Syria (holding at least 60% of the population) to have at least a decent starting position. His position was more akin to Churchill who at least could offer the US the UK and its empire as bases and resources against Nazi Germany. What these guys are offering is the equivalent of Hitler hiding in his bunker while the Red Army is fighting its way into the heart of Berlin. Not even Superman could have turned that situation around any more. There's a difference to losing a war and most definitely having lost it. Unfortunately most wars keep on going way longer then necessary because the losing side still thinks it can turn things around when they basically lost it already.

Before Jabhat al Nusra the were the Army of Conquest or Jaish al Fateh also leader back then claimed a link to Saudi Al Qaeda, it’s communication wing had one Kassem Eid German citizen and Palestinian National”Survivor of the first Sarin attack in 2013 , his family arrived in Germany under refugee status long ago. Kassem was the Leader of the Daraa revolt who held the water supply as hostage for Daraa in 2011. Google is a wonderful search tool when you use it properly now sadly the data on these links to terrorist groups and people have been removed as was the leader of The fake Syrian Civil defense “White Helmets”, wonder why?

re: “His position was more akin to Churchill who at least could offer the US the UK and its empire as bases and resources against Nazi Germany.”

Just FYI… Churchill and the U.K. actually ‘covertly sponsored’ the Nazi Third Reich during the first half of WW2. There is ample evidence that vast sums of money and resources were chanetled via ‘The City of London’ and ‘Wall Street’ into building Hitlers war machine even though Germany was supposed to be ’embargoed’ as a result of WW1. It’s not a coincidence that Hitler ended up with a ‘chip on his shoulder’ against the Jews after the ‘allies’ came out and started supporting Russia. Hitler’s and Germanies ‘resources and cash flow basically dried up overnight when the Rothschilds et-al realised that it was a ‘bad business decision’ ploughing money and resources into what had turned into a ‘game of attrition’ against the Russians. The U.$. lost 186,000 during WW2, the Russians lost 27 Million (as well as fighting 2 fronts – one against the Nazi’s and Germany, the other front was against Japan.

Read some David Irving for many MANY more of the in depth details.

You are saying that Churchill was having money and resources funneled to Germany while the UK and Germany were at war with each other and Britain’s very survival hanging in the balance. I would like to know more about this ample evidence you refer to. I am aware that the US did fund Germany for a time but UK is hard to believe.

The allies started supporting Russia as an ally when Hitler invaded Russia on June 22, 1941. I think Hitler’s issues with the Jews predates the German invasion of Russia by many years.

By the time Germany invaded, Russia had signed a non-aggression pact with Japan and so did not face a second front with Japan. When Russia violated the pact in August of 1945 by invading Japanese occupied Manchuria, Germany had already surrendered and Japan was ready to capitulate. The Manchuria campaign lasted 11 days and accounted for only 12,000 dead out of the millions that perished facing the Germans. This is why the Russians celebrate Victory in Europe over the Germans with no comparable celebration of victory over Japan.

Look to Israeli terrorists, they using terrorists in Daraa and in Golan Heights to create buffer zone.

Look to Israeli terrorists, they are using ISIS and Al-Qaeda terrorists in Daraa and in Golan Heights to create buffer zone. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

russ

Jordan wants to make it clear there is no refund on the ISIS proxies they have supported and have let use their services… They don’t want them back.

Trauma2000

The ISIS proxies are Jordans problem. The U.$. and UK used Jordan to train them. Jorden is responsible for them.

russ

Yep you’re right the Jordan doesn’t want them back neither does Israel for Saudi Arabia or any of the others involved.

Rob

Breaking: Very fantastic news are coming….

Rob

On monday 2 July, 2018 the child butchers Israel again slaughtered Two Palestinians by snippers.

Smaug

Let’s be frank, Jordan’s economy cannot afford to shoulder any more refugees. And given the volatile state of Jordanian politics neither can its socio-governmental order.

Brother Ma

Wow! The willfully blind and obtuse narrative.

goingbrokes

Jordan has done everything to facilitate the attack on Syria. They should be known as the trans-jordan province of Israel.
