The Karayel is a surveillance, reconnaissance and combat unmanned aerial vehicle system developed by Turkey’s Vestel for the Turkish Armed Forces and is also being exported to some other countries. The Turkish Armed Forces placed an initial order for three ground control stations with two Karayel UAVs each. In 2016, the Vestel claimed that the system was already used along Turkey’s eastern border. Nonetheless, there is no official data on the deployment process.
On January 6, the Air Defense Force of Yemen’s Houthis shot down the Karayel drone of the Saudi-led coalition over the northern Yemeni province of al-Jawf.
Turkish army is not operating these..it was meant to be catapult launched Uav but the company didnt bother to re-design it..

Turkey has traditionally been supportive of the Houthis, as both are against Saudi Arabia. Not only that, but Iran and Turkey are both aligned in the same direction regarding Yemen, which was previously reported on SouthFront. Both countries provide Yemen with humanitarian aid, and Turkish humanitarian groups in Yemen have been repeatedly persecuted by Saudi Arabia.

Sure, Abdul Malik Houthis and Erdogan might not like each other, but they very much have a common enemy. If you look at headlines from actual Turkish sources, the attitude towards Saudi Arabia/UAE is quite hostile.
