In the Slaviansk sector, Russian units are carrying out an offensive in the Sviato-Pokrovske area, advancing from the north and south. In the vicinity of Konstantynivka, Russian assault groups are tightening their grip on the approaches to the city by advancing into the built-up area from Predtechyne. Meanwhile, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated that Hungarian money should not go to Ukrainian oligarchs.
Slaviansk Sector
Active combat operations continue in the Slaviansk – formerly Siversk – sector, particularly in the Zakotne and Sviato-Pokrovske areas. Russian units are primarily focused on breaking through the deep-echeloned defense established on the commanding heights.
In the Zakotne area, Russian units are assaulting the village and encountering fierce resistance. Fighting is taking place in the eastern and northeastern parts of the settlement. The advance is complicated by Ukrainian units capturing the heights in Zakotne and providing fire support, which slows actions in neighboring areas, including strongpoints near Ozernyi and clearing operations in the forested area near Yampil. Russian assault groups have advanced to the easternmost part of Zakotne and along the adjoining tree line.
Artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles are being used to support the offensive. Drone operators conduct round-the-clock surveillance of the front section to identify the positions and logistics of the Ukrainian army. In one instance, aerial reconnaissance detected an ammunition and fuel depot, which a crew of a 152mm 2A65 “Msta-B” howitzer from the 2nd Artillery Brigade subsequently destroyed.
To the south, in the Sviato-Pokrovske area, the offensive is developing on two fronts: from the north, along the heights; and from the south, along the perimeter of the settlement itself. There have been successes in advancing in the area of the chalk quarry. Meanwhile, fighting continues in the “Babachiy” forest, located northeast of Petrovske, and in the eastern part of Bondarne.
Konstantynivka Sector
In the Konstantynivka sector, combat operations are primarily positional; however, there have been some local successes. Units are accumulating on the city’s outskirts and methodically expanding their control over the area.
From the east, near Predtechyne, assault groups are advancing through the built-up area south of the H-32 highway (Soborna Street). The clearing of a “pocket” on the approaches to Konstantynivka continues in the vicinity of Predtechyne. At the same time, claims of controlling a significant part of the city are premature. According to experts, these claims may be based on outdated maps that do not account for the modern urban agglomeration.
South of the city, an attack was undertaken west of Pleshcheievka, which did not lead to a significant change in the front line. The northern, higher bank of the Kleban-Byk Reservoir remains under Ukrainian control, calling into question previously reported successes in the lowlands to the south.
Activity in this sector is constrained by several factors. After the active phase of fighting for the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration on the neighboring front section ended, both sides gained the opportunity to redeploy additional reserves to the Konstantynivka area. Furthermore, the advance is hindered by numerous fortified “pockets” requiring lengthy, methodical clearing.
Pokrovsk Sector
Russian units are expanding their control over the Hrishyne area and the region north of Pokrovsk. They are clearing fortified positions with high-powered aerial bombs, destroying shelters in capital buildings in Myrnohrad, for example.
To the south of Hrishyne, the advance is taking place along the railway line towards Serhiivka. Additional reserves, including infantry and unmanned groups, are being redeployed in this area. North of Pokrovsk, there are ongoing clearing operations at two farms along Olimpiiska Street. One farm is already under control, while fighting continues for the second.
Expanding control north of Pokrovsk is operationally significant because it enables the splitting of defensive formations and the disruption of the logistics of the grouping located west of Rodynske. In Rodynske itself, fighting continues for the western part of the town and the fortifications on the grounds of an industrial enterprise.
Kharkiv Sector
In the Kharkiv sector, the advance continues on most fronts. In the Vovchansk area, units from the Russian 69th Division and the 128th Brigade of the “North” troop grouping have taken control of the settlement of Vilcha. Vilcha previously played a key role in Vovchansk’s supply system. Following this development, the offensive toward Hrafskyi began.
There has also been an advance on other sections. Near Staritsa, units have consolidated positions on four sections within tree plantations. Three strong points have been captured in the Liman forests. In the Vovchanski Khutora area, an artillery strike on the deployment points of the 157th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade allowed the assault groups to advance. On the Melove-Khatnie section, troops advanced up to 400 meters and captured a forested area.
Sumy Sector
In the Sumy sector, Russian assault units continue their offensive with the support of aviation and heavy artillery. In some areas, including Andriivka and the tree lines, they advanced up to 1,100 meters in a 24-hour period. An attempt to deploy a combat group from the 225th Separate Assault Regiment’s special company in the Andriivka area was thwarted by fire. The destruction of a Leopard 2 tank was also reported. In the Tetkino and Hlushkivka areas, heavy rocket artillery struck Boiaro-Lezhachyi positions.
Zaporizhzhia Sector
Active combat operations continue in the Zaporizhzhia Sector in the areas of Stepnohirsk and Prymorske. Russian paratroopers from the 7th Guards Air Assault Division have advanced to the east and northeast of Stepnohirsk. They have reached the industrial zone of Lukianivske, where fighting is currently taking place. In Stepnohirsk, artillery and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crews are working to pinpoint and suppress pockets of resistance.
In Prymorske, fighting continues for control of the northern part of the village. VDV unit UAV operators are destroying vehicles and small groups and working to eliminate firing and deployment points and UAV control centers in neighboring Malokaterynivka.
There has been an increase in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, including reconnaissance and agricultural drones of the “Baba Yaga” type, which are now being used to drop ammunition on rear areas. These vehicles have an estimated flight range of 70-90 kilometers from the line of contact.
Conclusion
In the Slavyansk sector, the main effort is concentrated on breaking through the fortified areas of Zakotne and Sviato-Pokrovske. The resistance in these areas relies on commanding heights, and advancing is complicated by fire from Ukrainian units. In the Konstantynivka area, the fighting is positional with local expansion of control over the eastern approaches to the city. Both sides are using the operational pause on neighboring sections to redeploy reserves. In the Siversk sector, following the capture of Siversk, the offensive is developing on a broad front to the west, aiming to consolidate new lines. In the Pokrovsk Sector, the goal is to expand the zone of control north of Pokrovsk and in the Hrishyne area to split the Ukrainian grouping and disrupt its logistics. In parallel, the methodical advance continues in the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia sectors with the capture of settlements, forested areas, and strongpoints. This advance is accompanied by the active use of artillery, aviation, and unmanned systems.
Critical assessments regarding the financing of Ukraine persist among some European Union member states, parallel to the military actions. During a speech at the opening of a section of the M4 highway, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated that Hungary’s financial resources should be directed toward domestic infrastructure development rather than supporting what he called “corruption schemes.” This position has been reflected in Hungarian public spaces through posters depicting European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. These events indicate disagreements within the EU regarding the future scope and format of financial assistance.
