Kiev And Its Backers' Plot Against Zaporozhye NPP Pushing World On Brink Of Global Nuclear Catastrophe

The Kiev regime and its backers in the West are actively pushing for a catastrophe at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), one that could threaten the entire world, in what appears to be an attempt to pressure, or rather blackmail Russia after failing to defeat it on the battlefield.

The Zaporozhye NPP, controlled by Russia, is located on the shores of the Kakhovka Reservoir in Energodar. It is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, with six power units capable of producing a combined 6 GW of electricity.

On October 1, the NPP entered its eighth consecutive day of blackout, relying solely on diesel generators to keep functioning safely.

The plant had to switch to reserve power sources on September 23, when the last external power supply line, 750 kW Dneprovskaya, was damaged by Ukrainian fire. It was the tenth such incident since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.

The NPP’s Communications Director Yevgeniya Yashina told TASS that the current blackout is the longest in the past three years.

When asked whether the plant has broken the record of operating without an external power supply source, the director replied briefly: “Yes, it did.”

The plant’s management said that there are sufficient diesel reserves to run the generators autonomously for a prolonged period. It also said that all systems sustaining the plant’s functions are operating normally and are powered by backup energy sources. Radiation levels at the NPP site and nearby areas remain within safe limits.

While the situation at the NPP is stable for now, relying on backup generators is extremely dangerous. With no alternative power source, any failure in these generations would lead to critical failures in the plant’s key systems like those responsible for cooling, which in turn could cause a meltdown.

A meltdown is when a reactor’s core overheats, causing fuel rods to melt due to failure of cooling systems, potentially releasing radioactive materials.

Two days ago, Rafael Grossi, director general of the United Nations’ International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), warned of the situation at Zaporozhye NPP.

Grossi wrote on X that he had met Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in Warsaw and exchanged views about the plant. He added that the IAEA was working to facilitate the restoration of power.

“I’m in constant contact with the two sides with the aim to enable the plant’s swift re-connection to the electricity grid,” Grossi said.

“While the plant is currently coping thanks to its emergency diesel generators – the last line of defence – and there is no immediate danger as long as they keep working, it is clearly not a sustainable situation in terms of nuclear safety,” the IAEA chief continued.

“Neither side would benefit from a nuclear accident,” he added.

Of course, Sybiha took advantage of this meeting to make some bold demands, effectively confirming that the Kiev regime initiated the crisis to blackmail Russia.

Sybiha, writing about his meeting with Grossi on X, claimed that Russia had “stolen the Ukrainian nuclear power plant and is trying to forcibly integrate it into its grid despite the growing risk of a nuclear incident. We agreed that the world cannot allow this.”

He said that the “only realistic option” was to grant the IAEA temporary stewardship over the plant, which would ultimately lead to Ukraine taking over it.

The Kiev regime attempted to pull off this trick more than once since the start of the Russian special military operation. This is, however, the first time it has brought the NPP this close to a catastrophe in its attempts to pressure Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy joined in on the act on September 30, illogically flipping facts by accusing Russia of shelling the power lines to the plant under its own control.

“This is the seventh day. There has never before been such an emergency situation at the Zaporizhzhia plant. The situation is critical. Russian shelling has cut the plant off from the electricity network,” Zelenskyy said in a video message.

Responding to these accusations, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov on October 1 renewed the country’s commitment to the safety of the Zaporozhye NPP.

Peskov noted that despite the constant shelling from Ukraine, “Russian specialists and station staff are doing everything possible to preserve the safety of the facility. It is secure at various periods.”

“The Russian side is also in continuous contact with the IAEA and, in line with accepted norms and regulations, informs the IAEA about the situation,” he added.

Ukrainian statements accusing Russia of shelling power lines do not withstand scrutiny and serve to justify their own criminal and dangerous actions. The Russian side has demonstrated its commitment to ensuring the safety of the nuclear power plant despite provocative shelling and remains in constant contact with the IAEA, providing information about the situation strictly within the framework of international regulations.

A meltdown at Zaporozhye NPP could shadow the Chernobyl disaster from 1986. The catastrophe would impact a wide region.

Immediate areas around the plant, including Energodar and nearby towns, would face intense radiation, requiring rapid evacuation and causing acute radiation sickness. The Dnipro River, a critical water source, could be contaminated, affecting drinking water and agriculture for millions downstream, and possibly polluting the Black Sea.

Radioactive fallout could spread across Ukraine, parts of Russia, Belarus, and potentially Europe countries like Poland, Romania, and even Germany, making large swaths of land uninhabitable for decades.

While the catastrophe being manufactured at Zaporozhye NPP by the Kiev regime is very dangerous, it is not the only plot being pushed forward.

Kiev stepped up efforts to draw its backers directly into the conflict with Russia, or to put it more clearly, to start a new world war.

Recent reports revealed a Ukrainian plant to attack a NATO base in Romania with drones similar to those deployed by Russia, and another to launch a raid into Poland by a force wearing Belarusian uniforms. Kiev also made efforts to incite a crisis in Moldova over the paramilitary elections, but funny enough European efforts to secure the results of the elections to the favor of their allies were too effective and thus NATO stood its ground and didn’t intervene.

While the immediate goal of Ukraine when it comes to the Zaporozhye NPP is to take over it through the IAEA, the Kiev regime likely sees a nuclear catastrophe there even more useful as it could spark a new world war. For the regime very much anything, including worldwide annihilation, seems more tolerable than a peaceful settlement. Many of the regime backers in the West also seem to believe that the fight against Russia should not stop at any cost.

Kyiv and its Western backers are putting global security at risk to achieve their own political objectives, disregarding the consequences. Foreseeing the scale and impact of the tragedy, the world must recognize the responsibility of these actors and stop the provocations before Eastern Europe and the entire world falls victim to radioactive disaster.

This is a challenge to the entire international community, demanding decisive action to prevent a new, but already global, catastrophe.

if the plant melts down because pigs like you keep shelling it, you won’t have any balls to get……

and at what point do we russians realize that bank of england and the trillionaire banking families of old are ok with ending the world? because apparently these coffin-dodger boomers have one foot on the other side and are ok with taking the world down with them when they croak.

the owners of the bank of england (same ones that built londinium in the first place) will be fine, they’ll just pay the papa for forgiveness on their deathbed and go to their “mansion in the sky” – or so they believe….

weak russia will continue to watch ukraine target the npp. weak russia might target some empty warehouses and a house with 10 troops in it with iskanders to make it look like they’re doing something.

russia has to be really clever and careful, because the exceptionals breed will do everything to damage russia territory and what could be best than release radioactivity next to russia. the empire never cared about russians, you should remember more than. 50 years of exceptionals breed speeches how russians are not real people and doesn’t deserve justice or have rights. usa empire at the top, then you have europeans lackeys and then it’s ukraine.

be careful with poland also, those lickbutters will do everything to make their masters happy. how can the iaea meet in warsaw, that’s the place we’re all the warmongers are right now. the c.i.a is also 100% infiltrated in ukraine, poland and eu. the lackeys are worst than their masters.

just a good point in time for russia to reconsider decapitation strikes.

if this is true and we certainly know that it is… russia will send the message loud and very clear to kiev that will make it stop -or else! the american financial markets are already gone. and this is why this is happening because of u.$.’s own stupidity of one misadventure after another since their global enforced “state of emergency” lie was put into effect after 3 buildings 2 planes…
