The Kiev regime continues to beg its Western allies for modern weapons, turning the war in Ukraine into the global one. To approach Ukraine’s victory in the war against Russia, Ukraine needs long-range missiles, said adviser to the head of Zelensky’s Office Podolyak.
Moscow has already warned that the delivery of longer-range missiles by the United States to Ukraine will make Washington a party to the conflict. In the event of the start of deliveries of longer-range missiles to Ukraine than those that have already been sent to Kiev, the United States will cross the “red line”, said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
Pilots of Ukrainian fighters already use American AGM-88 High-speed Anti-Radar Missile (HARM) anti-radar missiles which have the range of up to 150 kilometers. The range of RGM-84 Harpoon anti-ship missiles, which were also supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reaches 120 kilometers. The AFU uses them not from ships, but, presumably, from converted trucks. The notorious US multiple Launch Rocket systems (MLRS) M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) allow to fire various types of rockets and missiles, including the unguided ones. The installation is capable of releasing up to six rounds of ammunition at a time at a range of up to 300 kilometers. They are actively used by the AFU to kill civilians in the territories they lost. However, this is no enough for the Kiev regime.
The Wall Street Journal reported on September 12 that Kiev “sent a signal” to the United States and NATO with a request to ensure the possibility of purchasing 29 types of weapons in 2023. The list includes ATACMS missiles with a range of up to 300 km
The supply of American ATACMS ballistic missiles to Ukraine will mean the actual unleashing of a military conflict by Washington with Moscow.
On Thursday, the U.S. leader announced the aid to be drawn from U.S. military equipment inventories in a memorandum to Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The latest $600 million arms transfer included “additional ammunition” for the HIMARS precision-guided rocket artillery systems, 36,000 105mm artillery rounds, 1,000 Excalibur precision-guided 155mm artillery rounds, four counter-artillery radars, four trucks, and eight trailers to transport heavy equipment, anti-drone equipment, mine-clearing equipment, Claymore anti-personnel mines, demolition munitions, small arms and ammunition, night vision devices, cold weather gear, and other field equipment, official statements said
The ATACMS missile, a long-range, precision-guided munition manufactured by Lockheed Martin and long wished by Kiev, was absent from the White House announcement.

On September 17, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said in an interview with PBS that the country is discussing the supply of long-range missiles with the United States.
“The issue of assistance and delivery of missiles of a certain range and armored vehicles is a matter of accelerating the end of the war. The sooner we get these volumes of weapons, and we will get them anyway, I want everyone to understand this, because the war cannot end otherwise than on the terms of Ukraine. Because for the stability of the world, Russia must lose. Otherwise, Russia will claim a dominant role in determining global security, and no one needs it, including the United States.
As we receive missiles, we will accelerate the timing of the end of the war. It can end in 3-5 months, and not in a year and a half.
The range of the missiles determines the possibility of striking warehouses in remote areas, for example, in the Crimea. Having destroyed everything related to the delivery of resources, we will get the exsanguination of Russian groups. The fall of Donetsk and Lugansk will bring down the entire infrastructure of the Russian army. Russia will start to flee from the territory of Ukraine on a large scale, including Crimea,” adviser to the head of Zelensky’s Office Podolyak says.

Wrong. Range of HIMARS is less than 100km (new improved version supposedly with 150km range is not even operational). When you attach ATACMS instead then it’s range is some 300km but it can’t fire “six round”, rockets are obviously bigger. Different systems, both use the same carrier vehicle. HIMRAS is inferior to Russian Tornado and ATACMS is inferior to Iskanders. But yeah ATACMS is a tactical missile much better than old Soviet Tochkas and can be used to attack targets in Russia.
Syria under embargo, without a cent built its domestic Elephant rocket, these Ukrainians receive tens of billions of dollars and are unable to improve the range of a HIMARS.
I’ve been watching HIMAR being promoted as some kind of wonder weapon when really it’s just a cheaper less protected version of the M-270. What they don’t tell you is it’s just a copy of Russian Smerch / Tornado MLRS systems that can be taken out by a 50 cal round @ 2000 yards. It even fires the same missiles.

ATACMS munitions are basically cluster munitions, of the 4 standard munitions available in service, 2 are cluster bomb delivery systems and 2 are drone loitering BAT munition delivery systems. They plan on using these on civilians.

Yes they are slagging Russian weapons in the media but that only matters to taxpayers and fan boys. Real military people … the ones who are actually responsible for buying weapons for their countries … aren’t going to be swayed by propaganda. What you didn’t mention is the fact that Russia is using it’s 3rd and 4th generation weapons systems only, only a few 5th generation units (Terminators) have been used on NATO mercenaries to support the poorly equiped Donbass and Lugansk militias as ‘equalizers’. I would not be investing in the US arms complex, while the US gov is hyperinflating itself into financial collapse, just imagine what those shares will be worth when the US dollar collapses and the arms purchases go unpaid.

Whatever the outcome is Ukr falls to Washington pocket with all that debt. A settlement will be with US and Rus will have to give something to them to get it.
