Kiev Forces Continue To Bleed In Several Directions (Videos, Photos)

Kiev forces continue to suffer heavy human and material losses while attempting to advance in several directions within the special military operation zone.

Oleg Chekhov, a spokesman for the Russian Vostok Group of Forces, told TASS on August 25 that the group’s aviation and artillery had destroyed an ammunition depot, a stronghold and a vehicle with Ukrainian troops near Urozhainoe in the Donetsk direction.

“Leading units of the Vostok Group of Forces with the support of artillery and aviation delivered a fire strike against the enemy in the vicinity of Urozhainoe. Two temporary stationing points of the Ukrainian army were hit; an ammunition depot, a stronghold, and a vehicle with fighters were destroyed. Concentrated manpower was hit. A strike drone destroyed an armored personnel carrier with Ukrainian army infantry,” Chekhov said.

The spokesman added that the group also destroyed a Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer near Novopol and downed two drones of Kiev forces.

“A Gvozdika self-propelled artillery unit was destroyed by the Lancet loitering munition. Assault and army aviation engaged concentrated manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian army in the vicinity of Staromaiorskoe and Urozhainoe,” Chekhov said.

“An Osa air defense missile system shot down two Furiya fixed-wing type unmanned aerial vehicles,” the spokesman added.

Meanwhile, the Russian Zapad Group of Forces announced that its units had repelled four counter attacks by Kiev forces in the Kupyansk direction.

The group also said that 20 troops and three armored personnel carriers from Ukraine’s 43rd mechanized and 68th separate jaeger brigades were destroyed near Novosergeevka and Sheikovka as a result of a strike with Tornado-S heavy multiple rocket launchers.

In addition, the group’s aviation carried out 14 airstrikes against manpower and firepower concentration areas of the 14th mechanized, 25th assault airborne and 68th separate jaeger brigades of Kiev forces.

The group’s artillery also targeted a temporary deployment point of the Rapid Reaction Brigade’s units of the National Guard of Ukraine, destroying an American-made M777 towed howitzer, a mortar, five armored fighting vehicles and a T-72 tank.

In the Kherson direction, Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian 120 mm mortar and a howitzer, according to a spokesman for the regional emergency services.

“Units of the Dnepr battlegroup struck the enemy by firepower in the Kherson direction, destroying a 120mm mortar with its team and ammunition (casualties: four Ukrainian militants were killed and three others suffered wounds of varying severity) and a Msta-B howitzer with ammunition (casualties: three Ukrainian soldiers were killed and four others sustained wounds of varying severity),” the spokesman said.

Russian troops also destroyed an American-made M777 towed howitzer and a fire emplacement in the island zone as well as a D-30 towed howitzer, a deployment site and two motor vehicles in the Kakhovka direction, the spokesman added.

In addition, Russian news sources videos and photos showing some of Ukraine’s recent material losses in the direction of Zaporozhye.

It’s worth noting that Ukraine launched an attack with a modified S-200 missile against the Russian region of Kaluga and another with over 40 suicide drones against the Crimean Peninsula early on August 25. Both attacks were thwarted by Russian air defense systems and electronic warfare means. Later in the afternoon, a third attack on Moscow was foiled. A drone was intercepted by air defenses over the Babyninsky district of Kaluga.

The recent attacks on Russian territory appear to be an attempt to distract public attention from the failure of Ukraine’s counteroffensive, which began more than eleven weeks ago. So far, Kiev forces have sustained heavy losses without making any breakthrough.
