On July 30, Kiev forces made another desperate attempt to advance in the Zaporozhye region and sustained heavy losses.
Acting governor of the region Evgeny Balitsky said that Kiev forces tried to breach the defenses of the Russian military in the direction of Orekhovo, but failed.
“The situation in Rabotino area deteriorated. The enemy attempted to breach the defenses in the direction of Orekhovo but faced the backlash of our units, sustained huge losses and retreated to its positions,” Balitsky wrote on his Telegram channel.
Photos from the Orekhovo directions showed a number of destroyed or damaged Ukrainian tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers in the outskirts of the settlement of Rabotino, which was the main target of the attack.

Russian news sources also shared videos showing the destruction of several Ukrainian tanks, armored vehicles and positions in Zaporozhye and other directions with helicopter strikes, landmines, FPV suicide drones and anti-tank guided missiles.
Meanwhile in the Kherson region, Kiev forces shelled civilian houses in the settlement of Novaya Kakhovka for no clear reason.
“As a result of today’s shelling attack, the roof of a residential house was partially destroyed and a gas pipeline in Novaya Kakhovka was damaged. Gas supplies to 20 houses were cut off,” the region’s administration wrote on its Telegram channel.
It’s worth noting that Kiev forces attempted to attack the Crimean Peninsula and the Russian capital, Moscow, with suicide drones in the morning. Nevertheless, both attacks were foiled by Russian air defense systems and electronic warfare means.
Overall, the recent wave of Ukrainian attacks indicate that the Kiev regime is determined to go on with its counteroffensive despite the heavy human and material cost.
