The Ukrainian Armed Forces use the ongoing political crisis in the Luganks People’s Republic to advance in a demilitarized zone in eastern Ukraine.
Ukrainian forces seized Gladosovo village close to the frontline outside Gorlovka on the previous night, residents are instructed to stay indoors, the DPR Operations Command said.
“This night, a blatant case of mocking took place on Gorlovka axis. The troops of the 54th separate mechanized brigade of the Aidar battalion rushed into the village deep at night, blocked all the houses and prohibited residents to leave their houses threatening to use arms if the order is violated,” the interlocutor said.
Mortars have already been deployed to the village, mining is underway.
The DPR Command qualified the action as an act of taking civilian hostages and consider it to be a violation of the Minsk Agreements.
Gladosovo is located in the vicinity of frontline Gorlovka town, 3km north-east of Zaitsevo.
