Kiev Forces Struggle With Mounting Losses In Kursk (Videos)

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on September 21 that the Sever Group of Forces had inflicted more losses on Kiev forces in the Kursk direction.

In its daily briefing, the ministry said that Ukraine’s 22nd, 41st, and 115th mechanized brigades, 17th Tank Brigade, 82nd, 95th air assault brigades and 1st National Guard Brigade as well as the 103rd, 112th and 129th territorial defense brigades took losses close to the settlements of Lyubimovka, Darino, Nikolo-Darino, Tolsty Lug, Malaya Loknya and Plekhovo.

The group also foiled several attempts by Kiev forces to launch counter-attacks near the settlements of Kamyshevka and Lyubimovka, it added.

“The enemy suffered losses of up to 20 people killed and wounded, one armored fighting vehicle, and two motor vehicles,” the ministry detailed in its briefing.

In addition, the ministry announced that the Sever Group of Forces foiled three Ukrainian attempts to break through the Russian border close to the settlements of Veseloye and Medvezhye.

“The AFU [Armed Forces of Ukraine] sustained losses of up 20 troops killed and wounded, an infantry fighting vehicle, an armored personnel carrier, two armored fighting vehicles, an obstacle clearing vehicle, an armored recovery vehicle, and two motor vehicles,” it said.

The ministry also said that Russian air and artillery strikes inflicted losses on the 21st, 22nd, 41st, 61st, and 115th mechanized brigades, 17th Tank Brigade, 80th and 95th air assault brigades, 36th Marine Brigade and 1st National Guard Brigade as well as the 103rd and 129th territorial defense brigades.

The strikes targeted gatherings near the settlements of of Bondarevka, Guyevo, Ivashkovskiy, Kruglenkoye, Kolmakov, Lyubimovka , Leonidovo, Martynovka, Malaya Loknya, Mirny , Melovoy, Novy Put, Novoya Sorochina, Novoivanovka, Plekhovo, Sverdlikovo, Tolsty Lug and Cherkasskaya Konopelka.

According to the ministry, other strikes targeted the reserves of 21st, 22nd, 41st, and 115th mechanized brigades, 82nd, 92nd air assault brigades, 1st National Guard Brigade and 1004th Security Brigade as well as the 103rd and 106th territorial defense brigades close to the settlements of Belovody, Vladimirovka, Glukhov, Zhuravka, Kondratovka, Katerinovka, Obody, Pavlovka, Rechki, Rudnevo, Sumy, Shalygino, Khoten and Fomino in the Ukrainian region of Sumy, which borders Kursk.

“The AFU losses were more than 300 Ukrainian troops and nine armored vehicles, including one infantry fighting vehicle, two armored personnel carriers, six armored fighting vehicles as well as six artillery guns, American-made launching and transport-loading vehicles of a HIMARS MLRS, an electronic warfare station, a counter-obstacle vehicle, an armored recovery vehicle, and seven motor vehicles,” the ministry said.

Separately, Russian media released several videos showing recent failed attacks by Kiev forces and some of their losses in the Kursk direction.

Kiev forces launched a surprise attack from Sumy into Kursk in August with support from their backers in NATO. The Russian military attack began earlier this week and has already made major progress.

According to the Russian MoD, since the start of the battle in Kursk Kiev forces have lost 15,650 troops, 124 tanks, 57 infantry fighting vehicles, 95 armored personnel carriers, 786 armored fighting vehicles, 478 motor vehicles, 121 artillery guns, 29 launchers, including eight American-made HIMARS and six MLRS systems, eight air defense systems, five transport-loading vehicles, 30 electronic warfare stations, seven counter-battery radars, two aerial radars, 16 engineering vehicles, including ten counter obstacle vehicles and one UR-77 mine clearing vehicle.

bullshit losses numbers from russian mod, same bs like from ukro mod. ukro forces in kursk in the beginnig some 15.000. realistically till now half of these dead and wounded, also half of theyr heawy arms and equipment destroyed and damaged, but still some 7.000-8.000 ukros there with dozents of tanks, afvs, ifvs, artillery… so still a lot cleaning work ahead, but latest before years end russia must liberate whole kursk.
