Kiev Forces Suffer Heavy Losses In Failed Advance Attempts (Videos)

Kiev forces sustained heavy losses while attempting to advance in several directions, according to the September 27 briefing of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

In the Donetsk direction, the Russian Yug Group of Forces repelled ten attacks by Ukraine’s 54th, 93rd mechanized, 59th mechanized infantry, 79th air assault and 5th assault brigades near Spornoye, Kleshcheyevka and Nevelskoye.

Up to 390 Ukrainian troops were killed or wounded during the fighting in this direction, the ministry said, adding that four tanks, nine infantry fighting vehicles, seven motor vehicles and two American-made M777 towed howitzers were also destroyed.

Moreover, an ammunition depot of the 31st Mechanised Brigade located in the outskirts of Zarya was targeted and destroyed.

In the Zaporozhye direction, an attack by the 71st Jaeger Brigade was repelled close to Verbovoye. Several gatherings of the 47th and 117th mechanized brigades were also targeted near Rabotino.

Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 60 troops, two armored fighting vehicles and three motor vehicles, the ministry said.

Two American-made M777 towed howitzers, one Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer and one Msta-B towed howitzer were slo destroyed by counter-battery fire.

And in the South Donetsk direction, the Russian Vostok Group of Forces repelled an attack by the 127th Territorial Defence Brigade near Priyutnoye.

The group’s aviation also targeted gatherings of manpower and equipment of the 31st, 72nd mechanized 58th mechanized infantry, 79th air assault and 38th marine brigades close to Staromayorskoye, Vladimirovka, Nikolskoye, Urozhaynoye and Sladkoye.

According to the ministry, Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 150 troops, two armored fighting vehicles, five motor vehicles and three D-20 towed howitzers.

In the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces repelled two attacks by the 5th National Guard Brigade and the 67th Mechanised Brigade close to Grigorovka and Chervonaya Dibrova.

Several gatherings of the 63rd and 67th mechanized brigades were also targeted near Torskoye, Yampolovka and Chervonaya Dibrova.

Kiev forces lost 55 troops, two armored fighting vehicles and two motor vehicles as well as two Msta-B and D-30 towed howitzers in this direction, according to the ministry.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian Zapad Group of Forces targeted several gatherings of the 25th airborne, 14th, 92nd mechanized brigades close to Novosyolovskoye, Ivanovka, Sinkovka and Berestovoye.

Up to 15 Ukrainian troops and two motor vehicles were neutralized in the strikes, the ministry said, adding that One American-made M777 towed and two Msta-B towed howitzers were also destroyed.

Meanwhile in the Kherson direction, Kiev forces lost 45 troops, three motor vehicles and one American-made M777 towed howitzer to Russian military fire. A Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group was also neutralized near Olgovka.

The Russian MoD also provided the following details during its briefing:

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralized manpower and military hardware in 108 areas.

Command and observation posts of AFU 80th, 82nd air assault, 10th mountain assault, 118th mechanised brigades have been hit near Verbovoye, Rabotino, Chervony Yar (Zaporozhye region) and Karpovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

The Russian anti-aircraft defense means have shot down eight U.S.-manufactured HIMARS projectiles.

19 UAVs were eliminated close to Verkhnekamenka, Golikovo (Lugansk People’s Republic), Zolotaryovka, Gorlovka, Kodema (Donetsk People’s Republic), Ternovatoye, Vladimirovka (Zaporozhye region), Gladkovka (Kherson region), Zhovtnevoye (Kharkov region).

In total, 479 airplanes, 250 helicopters, 7,191 unmanned aerial vehicles, 438 air defense missile systems, 12,170 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,155 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 6,557 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 13,449 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

In addition, Russian news sources shared videos showing the destruction of several Ukrainian military vehicles with FPV suicide drones.

Kiev forces launched many attacks in recent days. However, they failed to make any meaningful gains in any direction. The Russian military continues to hold onto its positions across the frontline with much success. The Ukrainian counteroffensive will likely come to a halt before winter.

what we see in clip 1 and 2 is a second attac on the same target to finish it off completely. this should be a standard process for all valuable targets like tanks and artillery too, because as reported many times, ukros are still able to pull out large quantities of damaged hardware for repair and bringing them back soon after to the front.
