The Russian military’s Sever Group of Forces inflicted heavy losses on Ukraine’s 22nd, 41st 115th mechanized brigades, the 17th Tank Brigade, the 95th Air Assault Brigade, the 1st National Guard Brigade and the 36th Marine Brigade as well as the 103rd and 129th territorial defense brigades in the Kursk direction, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on October 5.

In its daily briefing, the ministry said that the losses were near the settlements of Daryino, Lyubimovka, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Novy Put and Plekhovo.

The ministry also announced that the Sever Group of Forces repelled two counter-attacks by Kiev forces close to the settlements of Lyubimovka and Obukhovka, noting that attempts to launch an attack near the settlements of Kamyshevka and Plekhovo were also thwarted.

“As a result, the AFU [Armed Forces of Ukraine] losses were up to 50 troops killed and wounded, four armored fighting vehicles and one motor vehicle. Five AFU servicemen surrendered,” the ministry detailed in its briefing.

In addition, the Sever Group of Forces foiled two Ukrainian attempts to break through the Russian border close to the settlement of Novy Put, according to the ministry.

“The AFU losses were more than 30 troops killed and wounded, one tank, seven armored fighting vehicles, one counter obstacle vehicle, and one armored recovery vehicle. Twelve AFU servicemen surrendered,” it said.

The ministry also said in its briefing that Russian air and artillery strikes hit gatherings of the 22nd, 41st, 61st, 115th mechanized brigades, the 17th Tank Brigade, 80th, 95th air assault brigades, the 1st National Guard Brigade and the 36th Marine Brigade as well as the 103rd, 112th and 129th territorial defense brigades.

The gatherings were targeted close to the settlements of Bogdanovka, Guyevo, Daryino, Kolmakov, Kubatkin, Kruglenkoye, Lyubimovka, Martynovka, Melovy, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Novy Put, Orlovka, Plekhovo, Tolsty Lug and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye.

Other strikes targeted, according to the ministry, the reserves of the 21st, 41st, 47th, 115th mechanized brigades, the 36th Marine Brigade, 80th,95th air assault brigades and the 1st National Guard Brigade as well as the 101st and 103rd territorial defense brigades near the settelments of Belovody, Bondarevshchina, Belaya Beryoza, Belokopytovo, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Vodolagi, Katerinovka, Konotop, Miropolye, Mars, Mirlogi, Pavlovka, Obody, Pavlovka, Rechki, Stepanovka, Sumy, Frunzenka, Khoten, Shpil and Yampol in the Ukrainian region of Sumy, which borders Kursk.

“Over the past 24 hours, the AFU losses were more than 400 troops, 16 armored vehicles including one tank and 15 armored fighting vehicles as well as five artillery guns including one French-made Caesar self-propelled artillery system, one Bogdana self-propelled artillery system, two motor vehicles, one electronic warfare station, one counter obstacle vehicle, and one armored recovery vehicle. Seventeen AFU servicemen surrendered,” the ministry said.

Separately, Russian media released several videos showing some of Ukraine’s recent human and material losses in Kursk and Sumy.

Kiev forces launched a surprise attack on Kursk last August, relying mainly on foreign mercenaries and Western-made weapons.

Since the start of the attack, at least 56 Russian civilians have been killed and more than 266 others have been wounded. Moreover, the attack displaced more than 144,000 civilians. The fate of some 2,000 others who lived in areas attacked by Kiev forces remain unknown.

The Russian military launched a counter-attack in Kursk in September. So far, nearly a dozen settlements have been reportedly liberated.

According to the Russian MoD, since the start of the battle in Kursk Kiev forces have lost 20,650 troops, 136 tanks, 66 infantry fighting vehicles, 98 armored personnel carriers, 885 armored fighting vehicles, 582 motor vehicles, 170 artillery guns, 33 launchers, including eight American-made HIMARS and six MLRS systems, nine air defense systems, five transport-loading vehicles, 44 electronic warfare stations, nine counter-battery radars, three aerial radars, 22 engineering vehicles, including 13 counter obstacle vehicles, one UR-77 mine clearing vehicle and three armored recovery vehicle.

hehehe, what is the psycho mindset of these ukr that they almost certainly go to their deaths whilst zelensky and his compatriots sit well protected in luxury and money and their tcc mancatchers are protected from fighting in kiev and around the country. all for this faux taxed wealth democracy the western leaders spew whilst they set their police maddogs and legal framework on the working class and protect themselves from crimes. what a farce system of rules based order and so calked democracy.
