Switzerland has banned Germany from supplying ammunition for the Gepard anti–aircraft tank, according to Die Zeit. Germany is eager to supply its tanks in Ukraine with ammunition, but the cartridges are made in Switzerland which refused to allow Berlin to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine with these weapons.
The Swiss Ministry of Economy stated that the country cannot agree to a request for the transfer of military equipment of Swiss origin to the third parties involved in an international armed conflict due to the neutrality law.
As a result of the Sweden’s refusal, the batch of ammunition promised by Berlin for the Gepards will not get to Ukraine and Kiev will have to look for shells for very voracious anti-aircraft installations somewhere else. It is not an easy task as the 35x228mm ammunition for Oerlikon GDF 35mm automatic guns which are installed in the Gepard tanks is reportedly produced only by Switzerland.
The Gepard 1A2 has a firing range of up to 5 km, and an altitude of up to 4 km, the radar detects targets at a range of up to 18 km.
Most of the Gepard tanks transferred by the Germans to Ukraine were deployed on the front lines in the southern regions. According to the Kiev regime, they are allegedly used to protect the sea corridors and ships involved in the grain deal. In their turn, the General Staff of Ukraine claimed that German anti-aircraft guns are very usefull to fight Russian kamikaze UAVs Geranium-2. So far, not a single Russian UAV have targeted Ukrainian grain convoy in the Black Sea. However, dozens of military and energy infrastructure facilities in Ukraine, including in the southern Nikolaev and Odessa regions, have been successfully struck by Russian UAVs and cruise missiles. Kiev’s claims that the German tanks are used to protect civilian ships with grain are another lie aimed at pleasing the European population but which was revealed by the Ukrainian military as usually.
Perhaps the author of this article should go back to school and learn the difference between Switzerland and Sweden.
There is also a big difference between a “tank” and a “self-propelled anti-aircraft gun” which the Gepard (Cheetah) is. SouthFront needs to educate some of it’s writers or they will be as credible as those in the big propaganda/opinion/entertainment media companies that dominate the US and Europe.

The Swiss see the writing on the wall. Russia has already won and is destined alongside China to be the new economic superpower. Western Europe is collapsing and winter is approaching. If the Swiss do what they historically do best which is stay out of other countries affairs, then the Swiss will survive although their power will be greatly diminished since Switzerland has always been a banking safe haven for the corrupt western ZIonazis. SInce the Zionazi empire is coming to an end the Swiss now will begin to try to appease both sides a la Turkiye. I’ve had Swiss co-workers and I must admit I have always been impressed with their demeanor and very high level of intelligence. The Swiss are very capable and unlike Poland, Germany, the UK, their government is still for the most part looking out for the interest of their people. By the way quick fact the Swiss citizens are the most armed in the world, even more than the US citizens. There are weapons caches scattered throughout the country. The Swiss citizens enjoy the most freedom in all of western Europe.
The article confuses Sweden and Switzerland. The ammunition is produced in Switzerland and not in Sweden and Switzerland refused to grant permission.

Sorry, but you have to make a distinction between SWEDEN and SWITZERLAND! Sweden in north of Europe will become NATO-member and has no more neutrality. Switzerland in center of Europe still keeps a glimpse of independent, neutral policy. These are two different countries.
