The Ukrainian Armed Forces will strike the Crimean Bridge as soon as they have such an opportunity, said the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) of Ukraine Alexey Danilov.
Russia’s response to the claims of the Ukrainian official was not long to wait. The claim about the rocket attack on the Crimean Bridge are nothing but an announcement of a possible terrorist attack, spokesman of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov said.
“Such a statement is nothing more than an announcement of a possible terrorist act, it is unacceptable. And there are, of course, a lot of signs of acts that are subject to legal verification and subsequent punishment,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
The Crimean bridge is of strategic importance. The head of Crimea Sergey Aksenov, responding to the statement of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, claimed that the strategic objects of the peninsula are secured at the highest level.
“Danilov once again voiced the wet dream of the Ukrainian Nazis. … Nevertheless, this statement once again confirms that the Nazi regime, entrenched in Kiev, must be pressed to the end. This is the only way we can guarantee to eliminate the threats emanating from the territory of Ukraine, from a gang of criminals and drug addicts,” he said.
The Crimean Bridge is the most protected bridge in the world, it is guarded not only by the S—400 and Pantsir S-1 air defense systems, but also by the sonar system, according to the senator of the Federation Council from the Crimea Olga Kovitidi.
According to the senator, the bridge is protected from the air by S-400 systems, creating a kind of dome of 400 kilometers over the bridge. Russian Pantsir S-1 provide additional air defence. The senator added that the bridge is protected from the air not only by the capabilities of the Black Sea Fleet. The bridge is equipped with a modern sonar system that excludes underwater sabotage. An additional inspection of the bridge is carried out on a daily basis.
In case the Kiev regime gains the necessary weapons and attacks the Crimean Bridge, this would be the green light for Russian forces to hit Ukrainian political and military decision-making centers in Kiev or another cities, for example Lviv. Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has already warned that Kiev politicians calling for a strike on the Crimean Bridge could become a retaliatory target.
