The Kiev regime carefully hides its losses suffered during the military operations in the Donbas. Amid the ongoing heavy fighting and the daily deaths of hundreds of Ukrainian servicemen, Ukrainian lawmakers proposed to ban filming and photographing cemeteries and mass graves.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has received a bill that prohibits photo and video filming of cemeteries and mass graves of fallen servicemen. Information about military graves should be declared a state secret. It is reported that the bill will be considered in May.
According to Ukrainian lawmakers, such footage can provide the army of the Russian Federation with “valuable intelligence information, as well as contribute to the spread of a negative information background within the country itself.”
Heavy losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not a secret for the Russian military, while the real figures may be a big surprise for the Ukrainian population.
This is not the first attempt to ban the filming of mass graves in Ukraine. Similar initiatives have been proposed by local Ukrainian authorities, as well as by Zelensky’s office. However, despite all the attempts of the Ukrainian authorities to hide the harsh truth, hundreds of photos and videos are spread online showing large cemeteries that are growing in all regions of Ukraine.
Since the official cemeteries are not enough to bury all the dead servicemen, many mass graves have been created in various public places. This is a clear sign that the Kiev regime is fighting, not paying attention to the number of losses in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), using military personnel as cannon fodder. Moreover, Ukrainian soldiers also complain that a large number of their dead and wounded comrades are abandoned on the battlefields, and the military command forbids their evacuation. One of the Ukrainian bloggers conducted an approximate analysis based on photos and videos from cemeteries and estimated that there are at least 7.5 thousand military graves in the Lviv region alone.
Ukraine’s ambassador to London, Vadim Prystaiko, recently acknowledged the heavy losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He noted that now Ukraine’s losses are not disclosed, but over time their number will have to be made public, and “it will be a terrible figure.” LINK
It is obvious that the real losses of the APU significantly exceed the officially stated figures. Sooner or later the truth will be revealed. However, Zelensky’s team has a goal to prevent Ukrainians from finding out this figure now and delay disclosure as long as possible.
The Russian Defense Ministry reports that over the past 24 hours, the irretrievable losses of the enemy in the Donetsk direction amounted to 450 people. The bulk of the losses are in Artemovsk.
