Another terrorist attack of the Kiev regime was thwarted. After Zelensky refused to extend the agreement on the transit of Russian gas through its territory, his patrons began attempts to destroy the infrastructure through which the last Russian gas enters Europe.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation officially confirmed Ukrainian attack on the Russkaya compressor station located in the village of Gaikodzor in the Krasnodar region. LINK The station was targeted by nine Ukrainian aircraft-type UAVs.
The attack was launched on January 11th. Then the Russian military reported that 16 UAVs were destroyed in the Krasnodar region at night. The local sources reported explosions near the city of Anapa, where the village of Gaikodzor and the Russkaya station are located. According to some reports, a fire was seen in the area but it was not confirmed by any footage from the region. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation claimed that the attack was repelled by the air defense forces, all drones were destroyed and the station suffered no significant damage. One of the falling drones slightly damaged the building and some equipment of the local gas measuring station located on the territory of the facility. The fire was soon extinguished and the damaged equipment was restored. The station continues its operation.
The Russkaya gas compressor station is one of the key facilities of the Turkish Stream pipeline. After Kiev refused to extend the transit of Russian gas through the Ukrainian territory, the Turkish Stream remains the only route to deliver Russian gas to the EU. The goal of the drone strikes was to cut Europe from Russian gaas. The main beneficiary is obviously Washington, which seeks to stimulate the growth of LNG prices and the destruction of Russia’s export energy potential.
Kiev also wins from any damage to the international energy infrastructure. The energy crisis is gaining momentum in Europe. According to Bloomberg, Europe is using up gas reserves faster than in the previous seven years because of the cold weather, while its storage facilities are only 70% full. Thus, Kiev’s role on the European energy market grows.
Russian military experts warn that the Kiev regime and its patrons are likely to continue their attacks on the international energy infrastructure. In September 2024, military personnel of the Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit Two of the US Navy trained the Ukrainian military in underwater operations in the Black Sea during the See Breeze 2024-3 exercise. The Ukrainian military is also actively developing its unmanned underwater vehicles, obviously with close NATO support. For example, their Toloka and Marichka UUVs were reveled back in 2023.

if the people of bandera provoke the russians with gas pipelines, the russians will “neutralize” the entire internal network of gas pipelines in ukraine. they have the right to do it, they built it in the past for today’s ungrateful ukrainians.
