In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian units continue to advance near Maiske and Markove. The recent attacks there are likely shaping operations, meant to set the ground for a larger offensive with the aim of cutting the main road leading to the city and besieging Ukrainian troops there. In the Kupuansk sector, the units are once again gaining momentum, and the Ukrainian counterattack seems to be fading. Meanwhile, in the Zaporizhzhia sector, Kiev forces are still losing ground near Huliapole and Stepnohirsk. On the political front, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has criticized European plans to funnel more money to Kiev.
Sumy Sector
The Russian military’s Sever [North] Group of Forces continues to battle Kiev forces in Andreevka and in the area to the south of Alekseevka. Advance there is slow, however. Ukraine seems keen on defending this part of the sector, despite facing intense Russian bombardment and increasing pressure in other directions in Sumy.
This is especially clear in Grabovsky, which was captured by Russian troops earlier in the week. The assault troops of the 34th brigade continue their advance to the west. The target is likely Krasnopillia, which is located on a key road leading to Sumy’s capital.
Kupyansk Sector
The Zapad [West] Group of Forces managed to regain the initiative after storming Kondrashovka to the north of Kupyansk. Russian troops also advanced and entered the eastern part of Tishchenkovka. Kiev forces responded by carrying out more attacks in the southern part of Kondrashovka. Control over the settlement remains disputed.
In Kupyansk and its surroundings, there is a very large grey zone. Ukrainian counterattacks are fading, but intense clashes continue.
Russian troops also took positions in the northern part of Kurilovka and advanced towards the outskirts of Kupyansk-Uzlovaya. This will allow them to close the encirclement. Meanwhile, the Ukrainians are forced to rotate their troops and logistics across the river because all the bridges have been either captured or destroyed.
All in all, the Russian military with superior firepower and manpower has largely gotten the situation in Kupyansk under control again.
Kostiantynivka Sector
The Russian military’s Yug [South] Group of Forces continues to advance near Maiske and Markove. The recent attacks there are likely shaping operations, meant to set the ground for a larger offensive with the aim of cutting the main road leading to Kostiantynivka.
Russian troops advanced towards Fedorovka, and also took positions in the eastern part of Verolubovka. A breakthrough north of Maiske was also reported.
A successful maneuver to the west of these areas could easily cut the road linking Kostiantynivka with Druzhkivka and very much besiege Kiev forces inside the large city.
It’s worth noting that Russian troops are already fighting in the southern part of Kostiantynivka, as well as in some areas of the city’s eastern part. Intense air and artillery strikes are hitting Ukrainian positions in the industrial city every day, and the operations of Russian drone units are making the movement of Kiev forces more difficult.
Novopavlivka Sector
The Vostok [East] Group of Forces of the Russian military has resumed advance in Novopavlivka, one of the largest settlements near the front in Dnipropetrovsk.
Russian troops advance to the south of the settlement, securing some 9,1 square kilometers. The push reduced the presence of Kiev forces in this area to a small pocket. Clashes inside the settlement itself are less intense, with Ukraine in control of just over half of it.
The capture of Novopavlivka could help the Vostok Group of Forces stabilize the front in this part of Dnipropetrovsk, in order to prepare for more advance in nearby directions.
Zaporizhzhia Sector
The Vostok Group of Forces advanced in two main directions: near Huliapole, and close to the large settlement of Stepnohirsk.
Russian forces advanced to the west of Huliapole, reaching the eastern outskirts of Zalinskoe and the southeastern outskirts of Staroukrainka. An area of 3,7 square kilometers was cleared in the process. Intense air and artillery strikes facilitated the advance.
The troops also pushed to the east of Stepnohirsk, reaching the western outskirts of Novoyakovlevka and Pavlovka. Faced with no real resistance from Kiev forces, the troops then stormed Novoyakovlevka. According to preliminary reports, at least half of the settlement has been captured.
Conclusion
The Russian military appears to be prioritizing operations under the Kostiantynivka sector. Any breakthrough to the north of the city could cause the collapse of Ukrainian defense there. In the Sumy sector, work on a buffer zone is slowly regaining momentum. Meanwhile, in the Kupyansk sector, the Russian military appears to have regained the initiative, but the battle there could go on for weeks or more. As for the situation in the Zaporizhzhia sector, the Russian military remains the dominant force, and Kiev has failed to stop the collapse of its defenses. The next target there is clearly the city of Orikhiv.
On the political front, Ukraine continues to face harsh criticism from Hungary. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on January 6 stated that Europe will harm its people by providing Kiev with an additional 800 billion euros.
“Ukraine is asking for 800 billion euros over the next decade, while Europe is in recession. Those who pay this price are harming their own people, and eventually societies will resist policies that destroy living standards,” Orban said.
“This is what they will need in the next ten years for their country to function. A staggering amount. Almost four times the annual GDP of Hungary… The Ukrainian homunculus asks to eat,” he added.
The Hungarian primer noted that this is why Brussels “wanted to appropriate frozen Russian assets at any cost in December and that is why it is preparing to fundamentally transform the next EU budget.”
Although Orban is the most vocal, many other European sides are also getting frustrated with bankrolling Ukraine. The failure of the plot to appropriate frozen Russian assets highlighted this. Support for Kiev is certainly getting weaker by the day, despite attempts to show otherwise.

didn’t vladolf defend venezuela dictator like he promised?
as long as trump is on their side, dictators are not dictators, but if the democrat defeats maga and trump, a new wind will blow.
the new wind may blow most of the dirt out of syria as well as honduras and venezuela. maybe maria or old man edmundo gonzalez will blow away the traitor delcy rodriguez from venezuela and maybe the democrat will make abdi the boss of syria. i don’t count on pig dump to do anything good or useful for anyone.
putins ok with (((americans))) until they appoint some muck like obama.

united states of a guy that never was there (americo vesposo) are a dead federation.
because russians and the chinese weren’t prepared to guard fat loser and idiot maduro. instead of cubans, the presidential palace should be guard by (kung-fu) chinese in civilian clothes and they should have bats and of course sticks wrapped in barbed wire. in the end, trump’s criminals killed innocent cubans. maduro is guilty of rigging the election, but the cubans are not guilty and all their blood will fall on trump and maga.
i think it would be funny if dump shanghied all of them including the cubans
if the revolution amounted to a hill of beans all these places wouldn’t be such dumps.
pretty sad the only way any of them can afford socialism is by selling oil to the alleged capitalists

putin is a jew with the goal of killing as many slavs and arabs as possible.
the thing with syria is quite clear that putin’s goal was only to kill as many arabs as possible.
in ukraine, as many slavs as possible, no matter if it russians.
look at how the israeli puppet aidarous al-zubaidi was able to flee yemen and how the dump was able to capture maduro.
whose was the gentleman who fled yemen? israeli or saudi traitor, coward and fugitive? do you russian supporters understand now that you are idiots? russia betrayed assad and that is why trump found his next victim (mauro). by the way, the execution of the kidnapping was excellent and this is another proof that you russians are a disgrace to the entire planet. if only aliens would come and turn all the russians and their supporters into lime pillars.
assad betrayed assad. also hezbollah was bombed out and didn’t want to do all the fighting for the alwites anymore. putin can’t help but pick losers, all the good “allies” are already purchased by the (((americans)))
the real story on how this ends will not be written for a hundred years. the historians will cut through the fog that paid trolls regurgitate for pay
