On January 8, several videos documenting some of the Russian military’s recent operations against Kiev forces surfaced online.
11 of the videos show a series of drone attacks that targeted Ukrainian troops, posts and equipment, including other drones, across several directions within the special military operation zone over the last few days.
Two more videos show a series of attacks with TOS thermobaric rocket launchers that targeted Ukrainian fortifications along the border line in the directions of Sumy and Kharkiv.
Another video from the border line shows artillery strikes with a Krasnopol guided shells that targeted several houses occupied by Kiev forces.
One more video from there shows a series of airstrikes with UMPK-equipped guided glide bombs on Ukrainian positions there.
In its daily briefing, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that missile, drone and artillery strikes hit “facilities of power and port infrastructure used for the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and defence industry; assembly and storage areas of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 152 areas” over the past 24 hours.
The ministry also said that Russian air defenses shot down during the same period at least 142 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones.
According to the ministry, Kiev forces have lost 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 108,177 drones, 644 air defense systems, 26,992 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,637 multiple rocket launchers, 32,445 artillery pieces, and 51,197 support vehicles since the start of the special military operation.
