Kremlin rejects Israeli media claim of shooting Israeli warplanes

On Friday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Israeli media reports of Russia fired at Israel’s aircraft are far-fetched.

“I don’t want to comment on the Israeli press. The Israeli press’s reports in this case are far from reality,” Peskov said on the publications in Israel’s newspapers.

Peskov also said that Vladimir Putin and Benjamin Netanyahu, both leaders had focused on Syria and the Middle East as a whole and bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

“The meeting was very useful and very substantive. It comprised three formats: a narrow-format meeting, negotiations at the level of delegations and a tete-a-tete talk,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

Yediot Aharanot, an Israeli newspaper earlier claimed that Russia fire twice at Israeli aircraft in Syria although the newspaper gave no dates of the incidents or information sources.

However, the recent claim by an Israeli newspaper is published at the time when Israeli Prime Minister has been visiting Russia about future security and economic issues regarding the Middle East. Several analysts suggest that to create a false sentiment of Russian aggression on Israel, some west backed propaganda agencies started to circulate such fake news in order to create wider gap between two countries.
