Kurdish Forces and Syrian Army Intensify Operations in Northern Aleppo

AlMasdarNews reports: The recent advances by the Kurdish-led “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) has partially blocked the Turkish-backed rebels from reaching the key town of Al-Bab in northeast Aleppo.

On Monday, the Syrian Democratic Forces managed to capture several villages from the Islamist rebels of Jabhat Al-Shamiyah (Levantine Front) north of Aleppo City, leaving them within striking distance of the Islamic State’s front-lines in the Al-Bab Plateau.

As a result of this advance, the Syrian Democratic Forces now find themselves in Turkey’s way, as the latter attempts to expand their operations inside Syria.

Not to be left out, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has also intensified their military operations in northern Aleppo, capturing a number of small villages near the strategic Sheikh Najjar Industrial District.

The Syrian Arab Army has recently coordinated with the Syrian Democratic Forces in northern Aleppo, enraging the Turkish regime that is attempting to expel the Kurdish forces from northern Syria.

In the coming weeks, it is very likely that the Syrian Democratic Forces will reach the western outskirts of Al-Bab; this will ultimately welcome war with Turkey, as the latter refuses to accept a Kurdish-dominated presence on their border.

Double-edged sword is any coordination between Syrians and Kurds. Being nervous Turks will not hesitate to invade Syria regardless of the presence of Russia, under the protection of NATO, unleashing the dreaded third world war.

No they are not protect by NATO, they (Turk) are the aggressor/invader. They are protected only if the Turkey was invaded by foreign force.

NATO is USA with their submissive allies and USA is already invading Syria with special forces and bases operating there my friend. Just remember that.

USA is kinda asshole, and Hillary is talking about war, Turkey being the aggressor against Syria, and then Russia would be the aggressor against turkey, even if Russia is defending Syria, thats how USA works.

Do you really expect that western countries will support Turkey if Turks are fighting against Kurds ? That’s why Syria helps YPG : no direct confrontation between SAA and TAF , and turk occupied territories will be anyway surrounded by “syrian kurd” militias. Turkey is trapped

'Sup Bruh!

Double-edged in the sense of Syria’s unity i’d say. YPG already said they want a state and Assad already said he is not willing to give them any lands unless Syrian people wants to do so(which they probably won’t).

He is going to become enemies with YPG later on. US already has 5 bases in YPG controlled areas, they want Syria divided. Assad is playing in US’s hands by teaming up with YPG. What other option does he have? Idk.
