On December 3, the Afrin Liberation Forces (ALF) shelled a Turkish base near the town of Gobele in the southern part of the occupied Afrin region in northern Aleppo.
A video released by the Kurdish group shows several explosions rocking the base as a result of accurate shelling by the ALF’s fighters, who used mortars and possibly anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs).
In an official statement released on December 4, the ALF claimed that a Turkish service member was killed and two others were injured in the attack. A howitzer was also destroyed. The Turkish military has not commented on these claims, so far.
The ALF also announced that six Turkish-backed militants were killed in two other operations in northern Aleppo. In one of the operations, a militant was shot and killed by one of the group’s snipers.
Last month, ALF snipers and fighters killed five militants of the Turkish-backed al-Waqqas Brigade near the town of Marea in northern Aleppo.
The ALF’s attacks inflicted serious losses on Turkish-backed groups in northern Aleppo during the last two months. These attacks were apparently carried out in response to Turkey’s invasion of Kurdish-majority areas in northeast Syria.
So many fake points in this subject; Afrin is not occupied by Turkey. Those are Turkish backed SNA forces. Same goes for the peace corridor. Turkey is not occupying anywhere, those are Turkish backed SNA forces. Turkey just promotes friendly Kurdish parties, just like Barzani govt. in Northern Iraq. Kurdish Kommunist Party (PKK/YPG) does not & will not represent all the Kurds in Syria. Their communist state agenda is victimizing innocent Syrian Kurds, as Barzani stated.

Turkish army is not & can not occupy a city or a town or a village. Those are belong to the Syrian people, including the Kurds who are friendly to Turkey. Afrin city council has 90% Kurds since the region is belong to the Kurds. But those Kurds are friendly to Turkey & Turkish backed SNA forces. Friendly just like Northern Iraqi Kurds & their govt. led by Barzani. Turkey sets observation posts up outside the populated areas, just like in Idlib.
I believe the war can end faster if Erdogan and Assad restore full ties maybe with Iran of russia as mediators.
