A Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) militant shot down Turkey’s AH-1W Super Cobra helicopter with an SA-18 MANPADS on May 13.
The video was posted on May 14 by Gerilla TV, the media outlet associated with the PKK.
At around 4:46 you can see a PKK member targeting the attack helicopter with a 9k38 Igla man-portable infrared homing surface-to-air missile. Turkey’s Super Cobra was supporting Turkish soldiers engaged in clashes with the PKK in the area.
That is a 9K310 Igla-1(SA-16 Gimlet)
