The Kurdish Peshmerga forces announced Sunday that they had taken control of the town of Bashiqa from the ISIS terrorist group.
Bashiqa is located near the city of Mosul, the last stronghold of ISIS in Iraq.
The Peshmerga argies that its fighters had entered Bashiqa, but journalists were not being allowed into the town, Reuters reported.
