Kurdish Sources: Terrorists Sneaked From Government-Held Areas, Attacked SDF Position

Two ISIS fighters, who sneaked from government-held areas, attacked a position of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) inside the town of Hajin in southeastern Deir Ezzor on June 27, according to the Hawar News Agency (ANHA).

The Kurdish Syrian agency, which is known for its close ties with the SDF, said that the terrorist came all the way from the Damascus desert, north of the governorate of al-Suwayda.

“SDF fighters, with support from the town’s locals, were able to eliminate the mercenaries [ISIS fighters] … According to our reporters, the situation inside the town is now stable,” ANHA’s report reads.

ISIS confirmed its responsibility for the attack in an official statement released by its news agency, Amaq. However, the terrorist group said that a single fighter carried out the attack. The group went on to claim that at least ten fighters of the SDF were killed and injured in the attack.

ANHA didn’t present any evidence confirming that the attacker came from the Damascus desert through government-held areas. These claims may be an attempt by the Kurdish-dominated SDF to blame Damascus for the deteriorating security situation in its areas, which are infested with ISIS cells.

Jakke1899

And how many ISIS terrorists went from SDF- territories to regime-held territories?

Turkophobia - Greenkurdistan

SDF area is huge, over 360km border between SAA and SDF, never heard of Sleeper cells ?

Jakke1899

Yes, of course. But with all due respect, i was referring to the escaped ISIS terrorists who were able to flee away from the scene of the battle of baghouz ( if my memory serves me right…). That battle for the stretch of the last ISIS land territories, i mean. According to the articles I have read, 100’s of ISIS were able to escape to cross the Eufrathes to the desert of Homs. Kind regards

Concrete Mike

No what jakke is pointing out is that isis comes out of sdf/ al tanf all the time to attack SAA. Or when SDF flooded the euphrates while SAA was clearing out Deir Ez Zor city, i havent forgotten that dispecable isis supporting move there.

As time goes on, sdf is resembling isis more and more.

For the SDF to complain about 1 ISIS fool coming from SAA zones, is pitiful.

I say SDF are a bunch of spoilt cry babies, nothing more than paid mercs fighting for saudi/israeli/ american interests, with a thin veneer of nationalism to fool idiots in the west.

Filthy whores acceptig saudi money for themselves, not for the people!

SDF will be hung out to dry when the time comes.

Joe Dickson

There is no way to monitor the entire desert with their limited resources, nor do they really care what is heading into government controlled areas. That is the job of the SAA which is a joke.

TiredOfBsToo

Let me see if I understand this….. Isis terrorists hit kurdish terrorists….. I fail to see the problem, let them kill each other.
