The Armed Forces of Ukraine have launched a fierce attack on the southwestern flank of Bakhmut in an attempt to retake initiative in the ongoing battle.
According to reports, armored groups from the 3rd Assault Brigade (former Azov Regiment) of the Kyiv regime attacked positions of Russian forces in the Kleshcheevka area southwest of Bakhmut.
Following artillery preparation, pro-Kiyv units used battle tanks and infantry fighting vehicles supported by infantry in an attempt to break the Russian defense.
Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of Wagner PMC, stated that under the pressure of Kyiv’s forces, one of the Russian units left their positions, “exposing the front almost 2 km wide and 500 meters deep” adding that despite this the attack was “blocked”.
Reports claim that the 3rd Assault Detachment of Wagner was sent to stop the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine there.
An intense fighting is still ongoing on the southwestern flank of Bakhmut, according to media reports.
Meanwhile, the advance of Russian forces has been developing in the town of Bakhmut itself. The main hot points are the so-called “Airplane” area and the area of Yubileynaya Street. Kyiv’s troops keep well-fortified positions in these particular parts of the town.
The situation is developing.

40 Billion $$ in military aid to UA = 1 km sq. assuming the Wagner man isn’t overreacting (an assumption oft correct) I make that minimally then $ 40,000 per square meter or 25 dollars per square inch..
I’m on Russia side 100% in this. But I see the comments making fun of the offensive. Remember the same comments at the beginning of the last one and Ukraine took a lot territory. Hopefully Russia can maintain control of eastern Ukraine. Just hope it happens
hope the same. but im still not sure if russians and allys now has enough men and heavy armament in ukraine, because its a 1.200 km long frontline. whille 1,7 million russian resrevists do still what? and thousands of tanks and artillery in resreves do still what?
The Russians have defeated armies of Ukrainians with a fairly small number of soldiers and are going slow in order to grind the Western NATO supporting warmongering nations down. The money going into Ukraine is LARGE and the weapons going in is expensive.
It’s amazing how many people don’t get it. The objective is not to capture territory, nor to ‘finish the job quickly’. Of course from a strictly military perspective either or both of those would be great. But what would it accomplish? It isn’t as if the decisions are being made in Kiev and suddenly those in Kiev will come to their senses.

As far as we know the Nazis have no air cover, so in theory it should be a turkey shoot for the Russians.
I heard on RT today that the Kholhols counteroffensive were repelled. Bakhmut is ours, everything will fall like stacked dominos, NATO will have one last flurry but it is already too late for the Nazis.
I heard last night that the musicians had lost some of their gains and were not being given sufficient weapons / ammo AGAIN. Hope You are right!
If you take territory today, and do not have sufficient time to fortify the position, then of course you should retreat 500m if a strong counterattack arrives. But you ABSOLUTELY should have the 500m back position well fortified!
This also helps to conserve the civilians, Russias economy. their men and helsp to produce enough weapons. In this proxy war on Russia, in Ukraine, Russian patience is prudent and virtuous. It is Russias goal to defeat enemies, preserve civilian and their own lives, keep the economy solvent and secure the territory, not to take and defend territory whilst hostilities remain.
The lack of economic mobilisation reminds me Russian economy during WW1 .. we all know how it ended
How about that Ukrainian economy? Looking pretty good, I’d say. What’s the loss of twenty percent of the population as refugees or as citizens of Russia? Blackrock will have the average Ukrainian living like a middle-class German by the end of the summer. I just know it!
1200 km frontline, ukros will always be able to crush russian defense lines, if they concentrate a few brigades on one point. but if russian forces are prepared and equiped with enough man, armament and ammo, they will push them back every time and grind them. i dont see any ukro chance for bigger recaptures, because the wide open landscapes in the east and south are in favour for the russian quantitive and qualitive superiority in tanks, ifvs and artillery.

C’est la combativité de l’armée régulière, en tout cas d’une unité de celle-ci, qu’il a mise en cause après avoir accusé l’Etat-Major de le priver de munitions. Si tout cela est vrai, les Russes ont sujet de s’inquiéter.
Russian aviation is the only one that can crush enemy raids along a 1,200 km front in a few minutes, even if it loses a few planes.
Also with many slide bombs in the same line.
But there seems to be no such thing as the Russian air force, just some planes that show up from time to time.
