A booby-trapped car exploded on August 24 inside Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) so called “security zone” in Idlib’s city center.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that one person was killed and eight others were injured in the blast. The causalities have not been identified, so far.
“The death toll is expected to raise due the presence of many wounded, some of them are in a critical condition,” the UK-based monitoring group said in a report.
Opposition news outlets released videos from the explosion site showing extensive damage in nearby cars, vehicles and buildings.
Many of HTS’ security headquarters and other facilities are believed to be located in the security zone, which occupies a large part of the civilian al-Qusur district.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, so far. However, opposition activists accused ISIS cells, the Syrian and Russian intelligence as usual.

Hasaka, SANA – The USA has illegitimately sent a new convoy containing tens of vehicles loading military and logistic equipment to Qamishli city in support of the separatist Qasad militia, which is besieging tens of thousands of civilians in the areas of its spread with a support of the US occupation forces spread in Syrian al-Jazira region. Local sources from Qamishli city monitored the entry of 200 trucks loading military and logistic equipment provided by the US occupation forces to Qasad militia as they were entered illegitimately through the river crossing of Simalka linking Kurdistan region of northern Iraq with Hasaka province. According to the sources, the convoy was crossing al-Hilalia neighborhood to the west of Qamishli city, heading towards Ras al-Ain to the northwest of Hasaka city. On the sixth of this month, the USA entered a 200-truck convoy that belongs to the so-called “International Coalition” from the same crossing to support the separatist Qasad militia. All potentially responsible true, but the local civilian population could and should have also been mentioned in the list of potential suspects, they’re starting to resent the fact the Russians and Syrians are bombing them constantly, and because they can’t do anything to stop the SAA or Russians doing it, resentment is building with only one direction to vent their anger, at the people the Russians and SAA are targeting, HTS. It’s funny how the people who first support you in your endeavours, can in the end actually turn against you, especially when they start to realize that supporting you is actually costing them more than they expected. No civilian deaths mentioned, that’s curious, that probably means all the victims were all HTS fighters, the bombers must have been very careful to only detonate the device when it was right in the middle of HTS headquarters, most likely well away from where civilians were. That’s good if that’s the case, that probably means it wasn’t Isis at all, they don’t care about harming innocent civilians nearby, only the SAA, Russians, or dissenting civilians would be that careful, and I like the idea that some members of the civilian population may be helping Assad and Russia blow up HTS fighters [hopefully it was a few HTS leaders too], giving them local intel to inform them of when and where to attack for optimum results, I’d prefer that to Isis being responsible.
