On August 2, a booby-trapped car exploded in the industrial area in the eastern part of the city of Idlib, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR). The pro-opposition monitoring group said that a key headquarters of an “Islamic group” is located near the targeted area.
The UK-based news outlet al-Khaleej Online reported that a women and a child were killed as a result of the explosion. Furthermore, at least 25 civilians were injured.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. However, Syrian pro-opposition activists believe that ISIS cells were behind the explosion, especially that the terrorist group carried out similar attacks in the northern governorate of Idlib over the recent months.
The attack reflects the deteriorating security situation in Idlib, which is mostly under the control of the former branch of al-Qaeda in Syria, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). Despite launching several security operations, the radical group has failed to eliminate the influence of ISIS in the northern governorate, so far.

As Idlib ‘is mostly under the control of the former branch of al-Qaeda in Syria’, Idlib will be mostly liberated by the SAA, as simple as that, with the green remainings surrounded by all sides, goods and nices for reconciliation..
China’s ambassador has said that China would “assist” the SAA in Idlib clean up. Apparently there are a large number of Chinese jihadists who will not be going home. See; Al Masdar News
