Late on June 5, a large explosion rocked the Turkish-occupied town of Ras al-Ain in the northern countryside of Syria’s al-Hasakah.
According to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a booby-trapped vehicle exploded near the al-Hasakah roundabout in the center of Ras al-Ain.
“Two civilians, one of them a child, were martyred as an initial toll, and seven others were injured, some of them sustained dangerous wounds,” the monitoring group said in a report.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, yet. Kurdish forces are usually blamed for such bombings. However, ISIS or other terrorist groups may be responsible.

Dozens of Syrians, including Turkish-backed militants, and a number of Turkish service members were killed or injured in similar bombings over the last seven months.
The Turkish military took several measures to secure its areas in northeast Syria, including the establishment of many checkpoints. Nevertheless, these measures appear to be failing. Some of Turkey’s proxies may be cooperating with the attackers.
The Turks are losing control in northern Syria
Bloodshed and new casualties marked today’s day for Turks in Syria, as “unknown gunmen” attacked two Turkish soldiers in Idlib province, killing one with a shot to the head. The frequency of these attacks is constantly increasing and it seems that a favorable situation is “emerging” for the surprise or even defeat of the Turkish invaders.
According to the Syrian news agency Step, the attack took place on a road between the city of Sharmin and Idlib, less than 2 km from an observatory staffed by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) fighters linked to Al Qaeda.
The destabilized region of northern Syria is mired in utter chaos and a vicious cycle of violence due to Turkish intervention, as Turkish-backed jihadist groups continue to fight each other.
Clashes erupted in recent days between members of Sultan Murad, al-Hamza and Ahrar al-Sharqiya in the villages of Bab al-Khair and Um Ushba in al-Hasakah province, and clashes broke out in Aleppo between the so-called Free Syrian Police. (FSP – backed by Turkey) and extremist groups funded by Ankara.
Another problem is the regular killings and bombings in Turkish-occupied areas, where terrorism and uncertainty now prevail. At least 12 civilians have been killed during a “civil war” by pro-Turkish jihadists in northern Syria.
Turkey has completely lost control of the extremists it has created and maintains, to the detriment of the Syrian people and, of course, the Kurds in northern Syria.
It is estimated that in the near future, attacks on Turkish soldiers will intensify, as violent clashes between pro-Turkish forces and the strained morale of Turkish personnel in Syria create the right conditions for surprise and accurate attacks by Kurds and / or Syrian Army forces on positions of the Turkish army.
The ongoing civil war in northern Syria is costing the lives of civilians and innocent people being oppressed and persecuted for the realization of the “dreams” of Turkish imperialism, however, perhaps the current situation gives Syrian and Kurds a unique opportunity to “clear up” the Turkish terrorists from their lands once and for all.
