On February 18, a supply convoy of the US-led coalition entered northeastern Syria from the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
The convoy consisted of 60 trucks carrying logistic supplies, military equipment and armored vehicles. Some of the vehicles were older Humvees, which will likely be supplied to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the convoy headed to the al-Qamishli city in northern al-Hasakah. According to the London-based monitoring group, this was the 12th convoy of the US-led coalition to enter Syria this year.
The US-led coalition is currently redeploying its troops in northeastern Syria. Earlier this month, US forces withdrew from a base in Tell ‘Alo in the northeastern al-Hasakah countryside.
US President Joe Biden voiced his support for long-term military presence in the SDF-held part of northeastern Syria during his campaign.
Currently, around 500 US troops are present in northeastern Syria. The Biden Administration may be planning to increase the number of forces deployed in the region.
Psychopaths will never feel any empathy for the Syrian people (or any other people) whose resources are to be stolen for personal gain and power; for such is the goal of the plutocrats at the head of the Empire.
