On May 10, more than 30 buses carrying a last batch of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), Jaysh al-Islam and Jaysh al-Ababil fighters departed from the districts of Aqraba, Beit Sahm, Yalda and Babbila south of the Syrian capital of Damascus, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
The evacuation of these militants to Idlib governorate and the town of Jarabulus was a part of the reconciliation agreement, which was reached on April 29.
The SANA said that the Syrian Police and other security forces are now preparing to enter Aqraba, Beit Sahm, Yalda and Babbila districts under the same reconciliation agreement. Some Syrian pro-opposition activists reported that the Russian Military Police will be also deployed in these districts. However, this is yet to be confirmed.
The agreement allowed more than 6,000 militants and their families to leave southern Damascus, while more than one hundred thousand civilians and former militants will stay and reconcile with the Damascus government.
The SAA is expected to take advantage from its new positions in Yalda district and launch a new ground attack against the remaining fighters of ISIS in the Yarmouk refugee camp and the al-Hajar al-Aswad district, west of it.
All the buzz about the fireworks yesterday. Here is the real story. The day by day grinding into dirt the invasion forces sent by F.UK.US and co-conspirators. When your only motivation is petro dollars eventually you will wind up on a bus to the ghetto. Meanwhile Syria gets stronger and educated. They are fighting for their lives and it is now obvious who their friends are and who the enemy is. I liked that quote from a gal in Lebanon. “They bomb, we rebuild, they bomb, we rebuild, They have invaded us, slams a drink down on the bar, but they will never fucking defeat us.”
Betcha that wasn’t a Christian woman saying that.
This is Very nice news. SAA and their alllies are emerging day by day now.
The last bus photographed, the old Mercedies # 20, now that is the real Thing ! Love it .
