Early on January 13, the Israeli Air Force carried out a series of intense strikes on targets near the Syrian city of Deir Ezzor and the towns of Al-Mayadin and al-Bukamal.
According to Syria’s state-run news agency SANA, the attack started at 01:10 local time. The Syrian Air Defense Forces were activated to repel the Israeli attack. Nonetheless, despite claims of pro-government sources, a number of targets were hit by Israeli strikes.
The unofficial list of targets, which were hit by the Israeli strikes based on reports by local and opposition sources: the Panorama area, several targets west of Deir Ezzor, the Hay al-Amal area, the industrial area in Deir Ezzor city, a military HQ in the Hei Gazi Ayash area in Deir Ezzor, the Al-Quriya area, the Jebel al-Surda area, the areas of al-Hazam and al-Jamiyat near al-Bukamal, the area of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) base located near the al-Bukamal, the Hamdan airfield, several positions on the road linking the city of Deir Ezzor and the town of al-Mayadin.
Opposition sources claim that at least 23 pro-government and Iranian-backed fighters were killed in the attack.
This became one of the largest strikes on targets on the Syrian-Iraqi border since the start of the war. Taking into account the location of the targets, such an attack was not possible without a direct assistance of the US-led coalition.
The Syrian side said that “the Israeli enemy was directly interfering to support the terrorist organizations, particularly Daesh (ISIS) terrorist organization.”

Iran and Syria signed an air-defence treaty in June last year. Iranians to integrate their air defences with Syria. Joo fools know this, hence the desperate attacks and escalation attempts to drag US into attacking Tehran.
