The Lebanese military announced on May 11 that it had received ten VCAC “Mephisto” anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM) carriers and training equipment from France.

The VCAC “Mephisto” tank-hunter is based on the VAB armoured vanguard vehicle [“véhicule de l’Avant Blindé” in French]. The vehicle is equipped with the Euromissile Mephisto system, which fires HOT ATGMs.
The most advanced variant of the ATGM, known as HOT-3, has a range of 4,3km and can penetrate 1,250 mm of rolled homogeneous armour (RHA). Each VCAC “Mephisto” is armed with four ready-to-fire HOT ATGMs and eight more in reserve.
The French embassy in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, said on Twitter that the delivery of these ATGM carriers is a part of an “intensive cooperation plan” between the French and Lebanese armies.

In the last few months, the Lebanese military received loads of military equipment from the U.S. including unnamed aerial vehicles (UAVs). This Western support for the army is viewed as an attempt to challenge the legitimacy of Hezbollah, which has been defending Lebanon since the mid-80s.
Its sad to see Lebanon cucked like this into buying weapons from France. They need to get closer to Russia and China.

Yes, it looks like an attempt to influence the Druze and other non-Hezbollah entities in Lebanon. It looks like an attempt to arm a certain faction against the Hezbollah forces. Possibly cause friction and division if fighting breaks out? Jumblatt and Hariri backers come to mind. One thing is for certain, they aren’t providing these weapons to defend against Israel. Hopefully, as in the US/Israeli weapons confiscated in Syria, they can be used against Israeli provocations. If they really want to help Lebanon, gift (or sell) them some AA missile systems. That’ll never happen.

Lebanon is doomed, they have israelis violating their air space day and night, and still purchase some old tech from Rothschild minions (France). Lebanon needs S400 or S300’s along with 25*Su35’s 25*Mig 29’s and 75 Su24 attack 50 su24 bombers (with khirby jammers) , 100 tanks armada from Russia, and some AK12, along with ATGM from Russia for cheap purchases. If lebannon buys this exact list from Russia, the zionists will never violate their airspace again in 20 years.
Russia can’t even afford to buy that shopping list. That’s why despite having the best most modern tank in the world, the Armata, they chose to upgrade their old tanks. That shopping list is prohibitively expense. Lebanon would be glad to buy only one item on that list.

I am not even sure that they are buying the weapons; I cannot figure it out, but at the moment I think that Nato (US) is pushing for a civil war in The Lebanon.

I don’t know these ATGMs are effective against Israeli tanks or not because if that cannot destroy Israeli tanks or Israel has its code then what’s the point to bought that from France. Main thing is these Arab armies have no brain.
It’s a scam, the French people don’t want France to sell weapons to Saudi Arabia to kill Houthi’s, so the French Government sends them to Lebanon, who then forwards them on to Saudi Arabia.

Don’t surprised if a few of these end up in the hands of a sub-state actor. Morale in the Lebanese military is very poor right now and Lebanon may or may not be on a path to civil war.

Okay, Lebanon IS Hezbollah. This equipment will probably be used to fight Israel when they soon attack. Now, I thought Israel and France were two NWO nations with, more or less, the same goals. So why France be arming Israel’s enemy? Am I “out of the loop” or just plain stupid ? What’s going on with this ??
I would not be surprised if this cargo ends up in Yemen killing Houthis. Hezbollah is the spirit of Lebanon, but the FUKUS nations Israel and KSA control the official government.
