The Libyan National Army (LNA) has reportedly entered the Sahal al-Sharqi district of the coastal city of Derna in eastern Libya. The advance took place following a massive bombarding campaign carried out by LNA artillery and aircraft.
LNA units also temporairly entered the central part of the city, but were forced to withdraw. Earlier, the LNA captured the district of Fatayah and has entered the district of Bab Tobruk.
Currently, the situation in the city remains complicated. The Shura Council of Mujahideen in Derna, which controls Derna, is not going to surrender its positions to the LNA and, according to local positions, are posed to fight with the LNA.
