Kiev is constantly seeking assistance to fight against the ‘Russian threat,’ sacrificing national sovereignty, land and lives of its citizens. Today, Kiev’s alleged partners are Turkey and the UK, states whose policies align with the global interests of the United States. The ties between London, Ankara and Kiev have significantly strengthened in recent years. The three nations are creating an unofficial alliance largely aimed at countering Russia’s influence, in particular the Black Sea region. This alleged alliance poses a significant threat to Moscow, but it is no less dangerous for Kiev.

The British Embassy in Ukraine will finance projects for Donbass and Crimean ‘reintegration.’ The main task of the reintegration program is to monitor and actively promote in media any alleged violations of ‘human rights’ in these territories. Special attention will be paid on Crimean Tatars issues, as well as encouraging their political activity. Up to £ 10,000 are allocated to these projects.
The allocated amount is symbolic, just like the declared tasks. The projects is implemented under the Open Future program in an extremely short time frame – from January 1 to March 15. The work will be carried out through non-governmental organizations, which become the main beneficiaries of this British humanitarian support.
London has always publicly propagated for the territorial integrity of Ukraine and does not recognize the Crimean unification with Russia. Official meetings at the highest levels of representatives of the two countries are common and in October 2020, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskiy and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson signed an Agreement on Political Partnership, Free Trade and Strategic Partnership. Despite attempts to hide the official meeting, it became widely known that the Ukrainian president held secret negotiations with the head of British Military Intelligence MI6, R. Moore, known for his campaigning to fight against the alleged ‘Russian threat.’ The subject of the secret talks remained veiled, but the national security interest of Ukraine appears the obvious topic.
Britain and Ukraine also signed a memorandum on cooperation in the military-technical sphere, according to which Kiev will receive a loan of £ 1.25 billion for the purpose of improving the efficiency of implementation of joint projects in the defense sphere. This money will be largely allocated for the improvement of the Ukrainian naval fleet, and British shipyards will receive significant benefits from it.

However, Zelenskiy’s recent visit to the UK had more political than economic significance, since no agreement that could significantly contribute to the growth of economic cooperation between the two states were concluded during the negotiations.
Today, Britain starts a new round of foreign policy activity, being no longer a member of the EU. Meanwhile, Ukraine remains a platform for regular speculative actions and statements by Western countries.
While Ukraine is happy to receive any financial aid, the UK is certainly uninterested in increasing trade with Ukraine and doesn’t pursue unrewarded investments. What is the advantage of such a strategic partnership for the former empire?
London is pursuing ambitious geo-strategic goals. It intensifies cooperation with Eastern Europe in order to prevent the formation of the Paris-Berlin-Moscow axis, which has every chance of strengthening after Brexit. Due to the eternal struggle between Germany and the UK for domination on the European continent, and in order to prevent the connection of Germany-led Europe with Russia, London is making every effort to preserve a strong economic and political obstacle between them in the form of the buffer state. This role has been played by Ukraine throughout all its history.
At the same time, London is clearly aware of the red lines and does not condone in any way Kiev’s calls to support the development of the Ukrainian NATO membership plan. London’s consent would provoke a sharp reaction from Russia, which the UK is trying to avoid by all means and therefore does not act directly. It is obvious that, despite the numerous statements about support for Ukraine, London is not interested in ending long-term conflict in Eastern territories. The UK utilizes Ukraine as a controlled puppet that, in many ways, distracts Russia which is the desired effect for the Anglo-Saxons.

At the same time, Ukraine is actively preparing the so-called “Crimean platform”. This international negotiation platform, being developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, should once again draw public attention to the Crimean issue and allegedly help Kiev reacquire it. In practice, it should ensure the sanctions against Russia and work in the field of human rights protection, which in reality is rarely connected with the implementation of humanitarian goals.
The Kiev’s main partner in the creation of this platform is Ankara, which, after the events of 2014, has intensified its close cooperation with official Kiev.
The countries are especially actively cooperating in the military sphere, that is primarily dictated by the interests of Ankara. Faced with isolation and even a potential ban on arms trade due to deteriorating relations with one of its main partners – the EU, Ankara is inspired to seek alternative resources, such as Ukraine, as a needed military trade substitution.
A clear example is the ban on the export of optronics and engines necessary for the Bayraktar TB2 combat drones by Canada and Austria. This situation motivates Kiev to provide their replacement in exchange for deploying its own fleet of attack drones, despite the fact that these weapons are ineffective in case of contact with Russian air defense systems located on the Ukrainian border. According to some reports, in 2021 Kiev is proposed to receive a new model of Bayraktar drones, and the intentions to launch a production line for Turkish drones in Ukraine are discussed at the highest level. Kiev is also among the candidates for replacing German power units and transmissions for the Turkish Altai tank or even servicing Turkish F-16 aircraft. For Ukraine, this relationship will become an opportunity to acquire NATO-compatible weapons. NATO is not fully implementing the furnishment of Western weapons to Ukraine, apparently fearing a tough reaction from Russia. Turkey is interested in filling this gap, but its economic health is not strong enough to subsidize free military aid.
Such cooperation between Kiev and Ankara gives Turkey access to the territory of the Joint Forces Operation in Eastern Ukraine. At the moment, the number of Turkish military specialists discharged by Kiev to study the situation in the Donbass is slightly more than 10. On the ground, their task is to assess the targets for Turkish attack drones.
It is widely known that British special forces often visit the war zone, and also take an active part in the training of the Ukrainian military.
Another important sphere of cooperation seems to be Turkey’s interest in protecting the rights of the Crimean Tatars. This interest leads to an increase in Ankara’s pursuit of influence on Kiev and allows it to form a strong pro-Turkish Tatar community within Ukrainian borders.

The reported number of contacts between London and Ankara is growing. Both countries are interested in cooperation in different fields.
After Brexit, London is interested in strengthening economic ties with non-EU countries. Ankara has become one of the UK’s main partners, and has agreements on the creation of a customs union with the EU. Turkey was one of the first to sign a free trade agreement with the UK, which entered into force on January 1, 2021.
In 2020, former Ambassador to Turkey Richard Moore, who among other things is known to be a close friend of Reijep Erdogan, became the head of British foreign intelligence Mi-6. Among his achievements on the post of Ambassador Moore brought the two countries closer together after Erdogan came to power, pursuing the ideas of the classical British political school. He actively promoted the idea of strengthening ties with Ankara in order to exert pressure on Moscow, including organizing anti-Russian demonstrations in the Caucasus and Central Asia. Moore is personally radically opposed to Moscow, believing that the threat from it is underestimated.
Both countries have strained relations with the EU and support each other in the international arena. Before Brexit, London was the main supporter of Turkish integration into Western Europe. Unlike other Western partners, the UK did not condemn the Turkish military operations in Syria or interference in Libyan internal affairs. After leaving the EU, London began to create a new system of alliances where Ankara has a position of importance. Turkey is now helping London advance its interests in remote regions. Using Turkey to influence Russia is a favorite British tactic that it has regularly been used throughout history.
All the parties of the new informal alliance have their own interests that can be realized through joint efforts. At the same time London, Ankara and Kiev, largely depend on Washington in their foreign policy. And today’s trilateral rapprochement goes along with the policy of the Joe Biden administration, which is quite aggressively opposed to Russia.
In the current political conditions any real consolidation of US unity can only be achieved if there is a common foreign enemy. Thus, Russia has no chance to lose the status of a great external threat.
In order to overcome the current crisis and return the West to some kind of sustainable development, global elites seek to capture new markets and new territories rich in natural resources. Globalists have already provoked destabilization in a number of post-Soviet states, and Russia seems to be their main target. Thus, the staged protests of opposition, the on-going destabilization in Eastern Ukraine as well as increasing dependence of Kiev on Washington’s partners is the best match for the Biden administration’s agenda.
Ukraine, for its part, is ready to blindly sacrifice everything to please Washington and its strategic partners. Former Foreign Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Ohryzko publicly states to provide the territory of his country to the United States as a springboard for the fight against Russia.

Under the current Kiev regime, Ukraine’s sovereignty is impossible and its population, land and resources will continue to be wasted to please the West under the pretext of fighting the alleged ‘Russian threat.’ By inflating the image of the ‘Russian threat’ from land or sea, Kiev hopes to get additional investment and possibly become a member of the Western world, but in fact sacrifices the bounty of the country for nothing.
