Several videos of Wagner fighters addressing the Russian military and political leadership were recently shared online.
In one of the videos, artillerymen of the Wagner PMC appealed to the Russian Ministry of Defense:
“We are members of the artillery unit of the Wagner PMC. Every day we carry out complex combat missions and cover our assault groups.
At the moment, we are completely cut off from the supply of ammunition. Right now, there is an acute shortage of ammunition for howitzers, 152 mm D-1, also for the MT-12 anti—tank gun, of 100 mm, high-explosive ammunition for the T—72 tank – and of 125 mm high-explosive shells for the 120 mm mortar 2B11.
We appeal to our colleagues and friends from the Ministry of Defense.
We are sure that you have ammunition somewhere in your warehouses. We need it badly. We would be extremely grateful if you would help us, and supply this ammunition.
A huge number of people will survive and will be able to continue taking part in hostilities, and this will affect the entire course of the war.
We will work for you, we will do this job. Help us with the ammunition.”
Another video showed a large number of fallen Wagner fighters. The spokesman claimed that the Wagner units are suffering heavy losses as a result of intensive combat operations. At the same time, he points out that such losses could have been avoided. The reason is the lack of timely supply of PMC units with weapons and ammunition.
Every day we lose hundreds of our comrades-in-arms. There could have been far fewer losses if we had been supplied with weapons and ammunition, with everything that is necessary. Stop messing around. Let us fight. Let us defend our country, our homeland. There are hundreds of our guys here. Send your children to fight, and your sons-in-laws who are making Tik-Tok videos, instead.
The head of the Wagner PMC, Evgeny Prigozhin, was asked by the media to comment on this video. Here is his response:
“Note that these wonderful fighters are heroes who die for our homeland, they did not call anyone obscene words and did not discredit the Ministry of Defense in any way. They simply asked their colleagues for ammunition, and gave a detailed list of what they needed.”
Earlier, the process of recruiting Russian prisoners to the Wagner assault units had been halted. Evgeny Prigozhin confirmed this, and commented that he did not understand why it was necessary to destroy a streamlined process that had already proven its effectiveness on the battlefield.
Today, the Wagner PMC is the most effective of the Russian units on the Ukrainian battlefields. Apparently, the success of Prigozhin’s fighters is the envy of some Russian military officials. Otherwise, it is difficult to explain these developments.

It looks like there is a new round of in-fighting between the elite factions within the Russian government; to be more exact, a confrontation between the so-called ‘liberals’ and the ‘patriots’.
One aspect of this struggle may be the recent change in the command of Russia’s military districts. On February 17, the Defense Ministry announced the appointment of new commanders of the Central, Southern, Western and Eastern Military Districts.
Interestingly, on February 16, former presidential aide Vladislav Surkov, who was in charge of Ukrainian issues from 2014 to 2020 and took part in the development of the Minsk agreements, stated that he personally did not proceed on the assumption that the agreements would be fulfilled. Previously, he had always claimed that Russia had counted on the implementation of these agreements.

All these events in Russia are taking place on the eve of a key speech from Putin; his annual Presidential Address to the Federal Assembly. The speech, scheduled for February 21st, is expected to be a turning point in terms of Russian political reality.

Just when Wagners surrounded Bachmut and have operational encirclement which means they can bombard the only exit roads that are left with artillery. It is to entice the Ukrops to retreat because they assume the low ammunition means an opportunity to exit. But of course thats a trap. Yes they will certainly be Ukrops dead on the dead ground. It’s not a good thing to have such approach of events even when what they said it’s correct. Hohol nazi’s always want to get such complaints to flood reich propaganda about russian weaknesses. Seems Wagner were extremely efficient destroying the ukroshits, way more than the regular army, so that attract the high ranking military grudge, problem which Stalin would have solved in 5 minutes: execution orders on the spot for any generals with such views. Seems Putin content himself only changing the leaders from here to there and nobody is going to pay for the mistakes which are resulting in unnecessary casualties on the battlefield. That kind of action, such as moving the mediocre general Lapin, who’s fault allowed banderists to reconquer big areas in matter of weeks (on which now the russians are struggling to re-re-conquer), from one office to another is immensely counterproductive and imho concern deep corruption inside military decisional factors as I mentioned numerous times before. Just arrest or execute such idiot whatever rank he had because his idiotic mental is playing with the lives of countless courageous and patriot soldiers.

Russia needs new leadership and new better Military Command Staff. Very soon Putin and his thugs will have to take weapons’ and stand post. Many Russia solders will not will to fight for incompetent leadership. It’s shame, good solders and fighters have to bag for tools to fight and die for thugs.
I’m not buying this if they had no ammo or supplies they would not be making any progress at all. Ukraine soldiers could of dressed up in wagner uniforms. Possible.

Russia has the wherewithal to flatten bakhmut and anything else standing in their way on the way to kiev. Air-guided indirect fire=flattening the ukranian army and pounding their remains into the dirt. No house-to-house fighting, just grid square after grid square boil the ground etc. They just havent decided to win, yet.
Absolutely correct, but very weird. I saw on Telegram pictures with trains with 40+ wagons packed full of 500+ FOABS and don’t remind any video confirmation or even a statement about using that massive efficient denazificator weapon. In Backmut or other same configuration warzone is almost safe to use them from an attack airplane, or at least the pilot have 99% chance to survive, so I can’t understand that weak strategy. As for the remnant civilians inside, better to consider them as ‘unavoidable collateral damage’ but saving hundreds if not thousands of own soldiers and a much much quicker defeat of the ukropizdan atlantic nazi terror.
The generals with all their medals do not want wagner to succeed where they failed. They rather loose the war then admit that someone has done a better job.
If those groops like wagner are send to the death you can know that a shift in politics is prepared and they want to get rid of those who would not react kindly to such a shift. Could be a reason why both sides are sending meet to the meetgrinder in artemovsk/ bakmuth.

Russia did the same in Donbass under the coup 2014-18 where the local military could have gained more land and power over a weak AFU. Local Donbass leaders was killed to stop their military progress.

Hundreds per day? First time I see such numbers mentioned for the Wagner losses. Was this even translated correctly? My Russian is poor and I don’t hear well though the guy’s face mask. Hardly sounds consistent with the 6~7 : 1 kill ratios to Russia’s advantage one sees mentioned so often. Still, these are the guys on the ground, one cannot just dismiss what they say. It’s been 1 year the Russian army the only thing it did was destroy basic installations of the population, like the incompetent army that they are they didn’t advance anything against 1 precarious army of Ukraine but even so they don’t stop delirious thinking that they would ever be able to defeat NATO, there’s only war yet because Ukraine doesn’t have enough weapons, keep being well behaved sheep if you don’t go to the gulag
