Local sources report that following the surrender of Daraya city near the Syrian capital, Damascus, militants are going to withdraw from the nearby town of Moadamiyeh. The first reports about such a possibility appeared on August 26 and have been repeated by various sources since then.

Negotiations between  representatives of Moadamiyeh militants and the Syrian army have been reportedly ongoing since August 25. If it’s confirmed, the liberation of Moadamiyeh will become an important step on a long way to secure the area of Damascus.

The maps below allow to compare the situation in the area of Damascus in 2013 and 2016:

It’s finally cleaned up.

Time is of the essence, seeing as how with every passing day, Turkey will gain more territory further south. They’ll meet up with the SAA northern Aleppo border and provide a new world of trouble. The SAA desperately need to rip East Ghouta apart, quickly, until only the urban areas remain, starve them out, take the farms, close up East Homs’ bubble and secure Palmyra to Ithriyah and the gas/oil fields behind it and maybe even gut the northern Homs bubble, it’s unnecessarily big and empty, reduce them to the towns and force them to take a Darayya deal. With, what, 10k+ troops freed up, they can, be useful in Aleppo, on both the northern and southern sides of the front. But with the way ISIS are retreating, I doubt any of this will be able to happen, even if the SAA command were competent enough to notice that this ^^ needs to be done, rather than useless offensives to Tabaqa and fruitless attempts to reach Deir Ezzor.

What? You think the turkey incursion wasn’t done without assad or putin approval???

Seeing as how Turkey is the major instigator behind the civil war, behind the Idlib militants, no I highly doubt Syria agreed.

Real Anti-Racist Action

This is really super great news! I rejoice that the Zionist-terrorist-forces are being driven from the capital Damascus of Biblical times. I hope soon Syria is fully made safe again and all Syrians in Europe return to their home lands. And then I hope Saudi Arabia can be defeated in Yemen, and Yemen gets its land back Saudi Arabia stole from them a decade ago.

Spunkyhunk

The Syrian army should not be allowing these jihadi terrorist criminals to get out alive, to fight another day.
