The Iraq’s Security Forces backed by local militias liberated the center of the Hit town in the province of Anbar. The Iraqi forces already control of the Courthouse and 3 neighbourhoods: Aqnan, Falket Al-Sa’a, Al-M’lamin.
Separately, the counter-terrorism forces liberated the road between Hit and the Al-Baghdadi area
“The Iraqi army’s Seventh Battalion today also began operations to liberate the road linking the Al-Baghdadi area to the city of Hit, which they are now clearing of mines and explosive devices,” Major-General Ismail al-Mahlawi, Iraqi army commander for Anbar operations, said.
