Support SouthFront

This map shows the military situation in the Syrian city of Daraa prior to an expected government offensive in the area. Last weekend, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies already increased military activity in the city. Pro-government sources argue that government troops may attempt to recapture the whole provincial capital.

Here we go again…

This whole thing would be totally unnecessary if the SAA had continued on and SECURED THE BORDER earlier back in 2015… But nooooo….

Barba_Papa

Boo hoo all you want, but it didn’t happen and its now 2017. It is as it is. They gotta work with the situation as it is now. They had other priorities in 2015. The regime was about to collapse prior to the Russian intervention, with Latakia and Aleppo its biggest worries.

Solomon Krupacek

boo hoo is your second name? :DDD

otherwise, he wrote about succesfull oparation in daraa with help of russians.

Samuel Boas

Oh shut up you “expert”, you weren’t there so shut the fuck up.

Noob troll is…. Noob troll…

my words. after sheikh maskin the fsa was in desolate situation. and SAA stopped everything in the maximum of momentum. also dael was 1 day from fall, and until now is on hands of jihadists.

El Diablo

This will be a long battle…

Tactically this will be a combination of Aleppo and Deir Hafer. Taking the surrounding countryside first and cut off supplies to the city and then squeeze the pocket. They’ve done it numerous times so it’s routine now.

Solomon Krupacek

countryside does not help, until they have contact with Jordan. frist should take the border crossing.

goingbrokes

Yes, I hadn’t looked just how close the Jordan border is. Absolutely, take the border and connect with SAA in Suweida and reduce Daraa into a pocket and Suweida countryside into an enclave all in one hit. I’m sure that’s what they are doing.

Solomon Krupacek

i hope, they are doing this. one never knows at SAA :)

beano

yup, do an aleppo, surround em, squeeze em, and wait for them to shout for the green buses back to the jordanian border.
