Government forces, led by the Syrian Arab Army’s Tiger Forces, have been advancing against ISIS terrorists in the eastern part of the province of Aleppo.
Following the previous advances, the Tiger Forces got control over the villages of Wadi Muwayih, Jub al-Ali, Tal Hasan, Nafiyah, Atirah and Mazyuna.
In coming days, government forces will continue their operation against ISIS in the area aiming to isolate the ISIS stronghold of Maskanah. After this, the Tiger Forces and their allies will be able to launch a storm of the town.

The advances are so slow, that I am not surprised the ISIS is able to create defense line. The Maskanah town is only 14 km from the air port and we have now almost week and the SAA may liberated maybe 3 km of the territory. THis is not advances, rather crawling. The action need to be decisive and momentum and initiative should be added, otherwise this can go for years

Have you even read up on Wars through history advances against a well trained, intelligent, military grade weapon handling, well entrenched enemy, with a lot of motivation can hold positions forever like the SAA in Der-Z. city the SAA re at a steady pace cause they don’t have the manpower to do a rapid advance other front-lines need support as well
Yes, I have and I can tell you right now the SAA makes many the same mistakes Hitler did in WW2 and many other majors wars. Crawling is not way to win wars. I know there are many obstacles in front line but those obstacles have to be overcome

A slow advance conserves manpower, minimises losses. The SAA doesn’t have the luxury of foreign recruits like the jihadis do, and the lack of manpower is the main achilles heel of the SAA. They will advance slowly, probing for the enemies weak points, then redeploying to hit concentrations of Daesh forces as they are found.
No headlong rush into prepared defences, no throwing troops into risky assaults. Its no exactly rocket science.
BTW Hitler had much of the same issue (numerically inferior forces) but they spent most of the Eastern front campaign on teh retreat, and it was the USSR that set the temp once the rollback started and gathered steam.
Yes, they are being smart and calculated with the forces they have and it will pay off in the end, I have no doubt about that. They dont have the luxury of just throwing men and machinery into the fray and hoping for the best.
They lack the manpower for such large scale operations. Also remember the Tiger forces are an elite group, so they are reduced in number. Their advances are bound to be slow, but steady, to minimize casualties. Strong-points are shelled to rubble and troop gatherings bombarded from the air before the infantry and armored vehicles advance and clean up.

USA forces are intruders in Syria. USA forces have no legal right to cross the Syrian border. Syrian forces have legal right to attack USA and their ally forces until they run away from Syria. Well, WW2 Blitzkrieg was made possible by Germany’s industrial might and an intact economy, with a highly trained military leaders with a flexible operational concept, highly trained and well equipped troops capable of combined operations and usually fighting an inferior enemy. Syria has no industrial might, a small number of highly trained officers, and the army inherited a rigid structure not designed to fight an insurgency. Interestingly enough the Israelis adopted the 3 Reich operational concept for their army, and as IS undoubtedly has some israeli leadership they are somewhat familiar with the WW2 German tactics!!! It really shows! SAA was demoralised two years ago and have learned a lot about combined operations in the last 18 months from the Russians. But the Syrians are united, very united, and they will destroy IS, even if it goes a bit slowly. SAA is also taking seriously their responsibility to the civilians and the infrastructure they need to live so, just like in E-Aleppo, there won’t be any carpet bombing of towns and villages. It is clear that the orders are to save lives, including their own, as time is clearly on their side. IS has a lot of bite still. And you know, if I was there I would hate to be shot dead by a scumbag salafist insurgent, who always was, and is, a tool of the neocon zionazis, and who never had any future on this planet anyway. That’s why they joined this hair-brained jihad, right?

Why are the Kurds moving so fast?
No one cared about the Kurds until recently. They are ethnically united and have always fought with the Turks, so they are used to fighting, including the women. So they excel on the battlefield but are pretty clueless when it comes to diplomacy or understanding politics beyond their immediate sphere. Ever heard of a brilliant Kurdish diplomat or a politician? The Syrian/Turkish Kurds don’t get on politically with the Peshmerga of Iraq, and that could spell trouble when things calm down. Hope they don’t shoot each other. The proxy war ultimate aim always was to get the jihadists to take over in Damascus, so that their death cult rule would have given reason for the NATO to take over the entire country and its resources. Now that that plan is in tatters Kurds have gained in importance and US has decided to support them in order to enable a US friendly Kurd enclave in N-Syria. So now they have weapons, armour, satellite intel, special forces support, NATO countries’ artillery support, helicopters to give them airborne operations capability and 100 plus NATO aircraft to choose from to give combat air support. The air support is in fact so important that when Russia cancelled the air-forces cooperation protocol after the Tomahawk strike, US could not fly air support for the Kurds! The Kurdish attack slowed to snail’s pace. Pentagon was so pissed off they forced Trump to send Tillerson to Moscow to re-negotiate and reinstitute the protocol (read: humbly apologise). Clearer now why the Kurds are “moving so fast”? And btw US has no regard for civilians or the infrastructure so bombing a city block to get a sniper is quite ok for them. That’s why the civilian casualty rate in Raqqah is already quite high. US is using the Kurds! Turks hate that the yanks are teaching Kurds combined operations and other nasty tricks, so they bomb them now. You see Kurds are good on the battlefield, but quite clueless in diplomacy.
