An intense fighting is ongoing between government forces and militants in the area of Sukayk in southern Idlib.
Units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) entered the town and the nearby hill top earlier on August 10. In the first half of the day, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and its allies launched a counter-attack to recapture the area. If the SAA keeps control of its recent gains, it will set a ground to cut off key supply lines heading from southern Idlib to militants’ positions in northern Hama.
At the same time, the SAA is developing another attempt to capture the towno of Kbani in northern Lattakia after capturing the al-Zuiqat and 112 hills.
Erdodigs plans are derail by Syrian forces.
