- On January 16, government airstrikes killed 3 ISIS members in al-Mahkour, Kirkuk province;
- 2 ISIS members have been arrested by security forces in the province of Anbar;
- 3 policemen were killed in an IED attack in the Khanaqin district of Diyala province;
- Security forces removed 55 IEDs, which had been left behind by ISIS members in the Ar-Rutbah district of Anbar province.
