This map provides a general look at the current military situation in norhern Syria. The situation is expected to change even further with the implementation of the agreement between the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces and the Damascus government.
In Serekaniye TFSA has been defeated and the city has been retaken by SDF. Now SDF, hopefully reinforced by SAA, will concentrate on the borderstrip between that city and tell Abyad.
Hah small victory, its all going to the SAA eventually, just make a deal now and be done with it.

Mike, the Kurds HAVE MADE THE DEAL! Its done! It was reported yesterday or the day before.. Kurds will integrate into SAA, no autonomy, all oil and gas wells to Assad, and US weapons to SAA. The Kurds and SAA are now united again, against the Islamists Jihadi Turks and their Jihadi proxys!

Because I see people omit KSA when speaking about threats facing Syria, esp as regards jihadis, takfiris, etc. They have pretty much withdrawn their (direct anyway) support for jihad vs Syria? Or are in the process of lessening their support?

This is very very good news about Russia behavior.
The SAA has got the Turkish advance on the M4 blocked in several places if they can hold those positions. The Turkish occupation zone so far is in Kurdish minority areas. I doubt that they’ll attempt to seize Kurdish majority areas if they’re under the control of the SAA. If the Kurds give the SAA a hard time about recovering those areas. Then the Turks may attempt to occupy them. One thing’s for sure. If the SAA can hold their recent gains and expand on them. Then they’re way further ahead than where they were before the Turks invaded and the Kurds switched sides. That’s for sure.
Both Turkey and Syria face the same issues with non conforming thug gangs of criminals who tax local communities in taxes, extortion and lawlessness resulting in death and inhumane conditions.
We have seen recently the criminal mercenaries at the Turkey border trying to re-enter Turkey fleeing from advancing SAA and Russian cleansing of terrorist. They are not allowed to pass through and result in protest voicing their treacherous treatment from Erdogan in not allowing them back into Turkey.
The FSA, NSA as well as the PKK are being poured into Syria and will be caught in this anvil that is being prepared to pound them into oblivion. I am surprised that this observation is not being talked about by commenters but understand as to why it is not being vocalized by the participating signers of written and unwritten agreements between them.

I can see the Russian military air lift syrian military and troops into Kobani with helicopters. The US military have no strong point or true reason to stay in Syria,they may try to see if they can force a fight or stand off between Russian and Turkey and seek to sour the newly relationship but I see this very unlikely to happen since Putin already make his intentions clear since the start which is a Syrian sovereignty state lead by the Damascus government. The only things I can see the Turkey governments seeking is the from the Damascus and Russia is for the Kurds to be disarm and in the long run they will have to… The USA only have a position there,one is cause Turkey still allowed them to use that base and two it’s the Iraqis government haven’t ask them leave so they dont have long term goal there to seek an independent policy for the Kurds. The turks have global power motive,so the concept of the USA jump on they side to help them against the kurd will not work since Ankara will no there risk a war with Russia and if they do the Russian might welcome it so they can get control of the black sea,despite the fact the Russian might take lost but they will gain so much,especially if they reclaim the holy site of the orthodox church of christianity.
