It looks like the SAA are about to get their highway back, at least the southern sector below Maarat al Numan, this should make any advances from the south much easier for the SAA, and also make logistic resupply harder to maintain for the terrorists, the news just keeps getting better and better.
And Maarat al-Numan is now 3km away. HTS need to defend this approach, but SAA most likely will encircle them, but will allow them time to escape from the town. This was only ever going to be a matter of time, and the jihadists are defending a cause that was lost long ago. (A bit like iron zion come to think of it.) After this town falls the Idlib defence is going to be in tatters, and the entire Souther part will rapidly fall to pieces. The exodus to north and the panic will begin (or continue if you prefer) and the pressure on Turkish border will be immense. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Turkish border guards will again open fire.
