On February 17, the Syrian Army and its allies captured over 10 locations from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and other radical groups in western Aleppo. Government forces also besieged another Turkish observation point, deployed in the vicinity of the Regiment 111 area and set a foothold for an advance on Darat Izza.

Only 2000 or so. Russia has stepped up support, including combined operation rooms coordinating SAA, Russia, Iran, Hezbollah all together. Intelligence gathering and analyzing seems to work perfect now, even near real time. And also Iran has upped its game and Hez too after Soleimani. Turks can not enter airspace, all hardend defense lines of Jihadis are overrun, and this is perfect tank territory. Next phase will be much tougher in rough terrain, where tanks can not just blaze thorugh as they can now.

So GREAT to see Russia now finally fighting back verbaly against Turkish BS attacks. The time for Turkey bullying and Russia staying (too) diplomatic is finally over it seems. Maria FTW.
That is difficult cause Russia has some interests in Turkey too. Ther is no much time to gain ground, cause the mood in EU is becomming more desparate. That could lead in support for a turkish attack. SAA should develop a solution for the refugees in Idlob to give the EU hope that there will be not a genocide or something.
Its time to remind the world that the Turks commited genocide killing three million Armenians in massive ethnic clensing and land grabbing. In response to the Turkish troop surge, Damascus officially recognized the Armenian genocide by the Ottoman Empire.

I fear that there would be just few attacks on tourists cities like Adana or Antalya, if Turkey attacks Syria. In that case the tourism industry will become bankrupt within months and the turkisch Lira would lose ground.
